Does anyone have any recs for a good peach perfume?
The traditional reply would be Mitsouko by Guerlain, but I get more of a powder and gasoline note since the last reformulation and it's always been more floral-forward than peach. The Peach Trilogy by Sarah Baker has gotten a lot of hype lately and in the case of Peach's Revenge, it's deserved. Sweet but not cloying, definitely worth a sample IMO.

I am down to my last few spritzes of my second bottle of Tom Ford Ombré Leather. I love it but we’re about to go into summer and it’s better in the fall/winter, imo. Should I splurge on Electric Cherry or will I be sad? Is Bitter Peach a Better Pick?

I have Cafe Rose and I am a fan, I see comments here about the scent not lasting or not being all that strong, and while it’s not as offensive as Ombré Leather can be, I get good mileage out of it.

I’m a big fan of the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine and Gorgeous Orchid, which I think smells almost like chocolate but in a flowery way. Of course I also do Gucci Bloom because I am a sucker for tuberose.

I don’t know fragrance lingo but I am enjoying this thread and learning more.

Oh, and my college scent was Anna Sui Classic because I don’t mind if I smell like a bordello.

I would sperg so hard on this thread if I wasn't so prolific on the reddit fragrance boards. No bully, plz.

Hundreds of full bottles, long long time fraghead, massive niche fan, etc. etc.

I have & will very much enjoy following farmer hits & misses! Thank you very much for this @isalaide
I'm surprised you can stand it. I used to post on Indie Makeup and More, but I got tired of the political sperging and deleted my account.

I'm grateful to have been introduced to houses like Nocturne Alchemy and Poesie, but good lord the parasocial relationships people have with brand owners makes some users insufferable.

Meh, it's reddit. It's made for scrolling. Plus, it is all part of the history of a few houses so I just view it as more information.

Now, the constant What Does My Collection Say About Me posts do tend to work my nerves. Excluding the rare exceptions of male collections, very few go beyond, 'Bitch, you shop at Sephora, you like to knoll, & there aren't even any dents in those bottles.'

Weird question to ask here but does anyone have a good Cherry blowpop perfume they can recommend? I bought from a big perfume lot a batch of random discontinued scents from random sellers (because why not?), found one I really like and uncovered the scent description but have had no luck for it.
It's Cherry Blowpop from Lovelee wax - Cherry Lollipop with Bazooka bubble gum center. I would just find a Cherry lollipop scent and mix with a bubble gum but It more likely won't smell that great.

IMAM doesn't have that problem with the Sephora products, since niche and indies don't typically sell at Sephora. I don't know what the regular fragrance subreddit is like, but I feel like the culture might be a bit different.

There is a cherry blowpop perfume, actually. Apparently it was sold at Five Below.

people of Reddit,

how does one tell if their perfumes are still good? ive had this one bottle for ~3 years now, its kinda massive and its barely even used, and it was like $80 or something.
should i just let it go or will it give me testicle cancer or something? thanks.

Personally I just keep them for as long as they smell good. Only one perfume in my collection has gone sour, so I'd say it's a rare thing. Most of my older perfumes just get weaker and that's it, I don't think an old bottle is gonna kill you. It's common to still use 20+ year old perfume. So unless your idea of proper perfume storage is a slab of asphalt under the scorching sun, you're gonna be fine.

I unironically like the smell of Brut aftershave as a perfume. I've heard Penhaligon's Sartorial is supposed to be in line with that kind of barber shoppy, clean smell so would it be a good upgrade?

If it smells fine, it probably is. Store it in a dark place at a relatively stable temperature (such as a drawer or cupboard) and it should last a long time, even if it loses a bit of potency after say 10 years or so. Bonus points if you keep the bottle in the box it came in.

. A guy wearing a single spray of Royal Oud to the office is going to be a much better cubicle buddy than the dude who drenched himself in a cloud of Axe.
Agreed, I've been getting into fragrances by way of the small spray testers, and some of them Tom Fords are pretty much masculine or unisex (Tom Ford Oud Wood, Rose De Russie or Fucking Fabulous so not my cup of tea), but I've been giving them to my teen so that he doesn't smell *horrible*. Hopefully he'll get a sense of wearing nice smells makes you a better human being to be in close proximity to overall.

I still haven't found a Tom Ford I like more than Cafe Rose. All his roses seem slightly on the weaker, leather-ier side.

Recently I was gifted a full bottle of Youth Dew which is just Chanel #5 on steroids to me, but it's cheap enough that I'm using it if I'm just going to do anything sweaty/dirty/don't care. Apart from a Tom Ford run my fragrance goals this year is to go through all the classics people keep mentioning, I used to LOVE scents like Joy and Diorella but pregnancy one-shotted my skin chemistry that I had to give the bottles away afterwards.

I remember how every Anna Sui perfume smelled of drain cleaner for some reason.

Does anyone have any experience with the harmonist? I've had their discovery set on my wishlist forever. Matrix metal especially sounds incredible to me.
Also any good tea or herbal scent reccs? Milky dragon by larignon and phylosikos by diptyque are some of my all time faves. Milky, green, and clean forever!

Wild Veil has actual tea frags (and many other types) made from enfleurages, tinctures, and all that happy stuff. Stuff isn't cheap and most of them are solids, but it's not fantasy notes. Otherwise, I like Culot The by Versatile, but I don't know how fantastical you're willing to go.

Oh my god the catalogue on that website. That'll get my fix in for a year at least. Thank you!

So, I was scrolling reddit (yeah, I know) when the topic of fragrance with the funniest name came up. Someone found one called Fat Electrician.

Of course I had to try it. Got it as part of a sampler and, it’s all a bunch of things that shouldn’t work together (powdery + grassy + fried electronics) but do in a big way. I love it. Will buy more. Etat Libre d’Orange is the company.
