I step out for a few hours, and the "tranny sideshows on social media" thread becomes the "Kiwi Farms sideshows thread." FFS, this is the moral hill people are going to fight on when there are threads on KF making fun of parents who make fetishes out of their children born with severe mental defects, threads making fun of morbidly obese people, threads filled with pictures of people who have had their genitals mutilated to serve the gods of troonery, threads where people use every form of slur, a thread filled specifically with videos of people dying? Why not complain about the troonery that destroys people's genitals, the troonery that destroys the health of kids, the troonery that kills children (Audrey Hale's victims say hello, as does this kid who was killed by troonery)?
I see threads where people call people who are dying in wars all over the planet all sorts of names. And when a troon kills himself--I'll point out there are threads filled with routine threats of rape, other forms of torture, and murder by troons against anyone who dares to disagree with troonery or poonery--making fun of that troon is a bridge too far? Troons really are a sacred caste.
Don't get me wrong: I am not infrequently disturbed by the callousness of a lot of people here, and I've not made fun of this kid's suicide, so I've not got a dog in this fight. But a) I don't make a big deal of me getting disturbed by shit-talking on a shit-talking website: I just mark the callous comment dumb, or often just avoid threads that annoy me too much; and b) good grief, 20 pages of handwringing is a bit much, not even over the "affirmation model" that clearly didn't help this kid, but over some people making fun of the fact that he acted on the threat that troons make every time they don't get their way; and c) most of those 20 pages are filled with comments by people who, if they really want to get their knickers in a twist, should spend some time in the SRS thread, or any of the threads where KF catalogs the absolutely routine rape, torture, and death threats the troons make to those who disagree.
