He said on multiple occasions that he would take provigil right before he went to sleep. From watching his streams back then, doing that would have explicitly involved mixing alcohol use and provigil because he was inevitably still intoxicated around the time he would have tried to go to sleep.
The only reason to do those things IMO would be to get the blackout effect deliberately and use the blackout effect to go to sleep.
Oh yeah, now that you mention it that is true, he did say that in the later periods. With how much fucked things are going on that slipped my mind.
Nick is not a local. Nick is from Texas and is openly contemptuous of the locals.
And he has regularly shown his contempt for the locals with his comments about ''local scandinavian prudes'', saying the mandatory reporters are ''speculating and inventing accusations'', and of course claiming no one in the community has the best interest of his children in mind. Children they probably interacted with more than he does, especially after he stopped teaching in the homeschooling groups mind you.
So part of Kandiyohi county's obstruction is little more than public servants being too fucking lazy to do their jobs when asked.
Most likely, it is basically a law of nature when interacting with public servants after all.
Hmm, but the thing I quoted is specifically for things that are uploaded but not entered as evidence - which is the status they have now created/ confirmed. The Order said to mark those as "not accepted" but did not say to remove them from MNDES, as that request should have to come from White as the (presumable) account owner.
Yeah, I do not think they could ever have managed to cover it up if they just suddenly removed it from everything and played dumb about the whole thing. That is a multi-step process where you log every step as parts of what would be the legitimate order and procedure to do this, you are just doing it for illegitimate reasons but no one has to know that:
1. Make it never entered into evidence buying time and restricting access to it.
2. Make up some bullshit for why and how it entered the MNDES system was an error or mistake that never should have happened, obviously explaining why it also was never entered into evidence. Clearly something wrong happened here!
3. Obviously now that there is a serious error in the MNDES system, probably pinned on a fresh intern or computer problem, maybe the lawyer just miss clicked, this error of course has to be corrected and the related digital evidence taken out of the system.
4. Wow, would you look at that! There is this collection of suuuuper old bodycam footage not used for any active case clogging up our already limited storage and we are only supposed to keep such things for 90 days! *delete*
5. ''Oh yeah, sorry we do not have that bodycam any more, there was an issue that had it remaining in the system longer than it should have which is why people could view it for a while but obviously as soon as we discovered this problem we fixed it in strict adherence to our duties! Toodles bodycam-stalking child!''
You might think this is a bit conspiratorial, but not much really. When it comes to governmental and corporate systems, as long as you can make it look like you took legitimate actions in the correct order you can get away with nearly anything as long as you can avoid inviting serious scrutiny. If it looks legitimate at first glance 9 out of 10 people have no reason to scratch the surface.
Average government drone just looking to clock in and clock out when he receives the complaint:
''Ugh, another idiot complaint? Geez what a dumbass! Look, here it all is, they followed the correct steps in the required order and fixed a simple clerical issue. No reason to look further. They even explained in a footnote how their new intern messed up a bit! These fucking morons and their worthless complaints... Maybe I should get McDonalds on the way home?...''

Finally caught up, now Nicholas just has to shut the fuck up and calm down for a few days and the thread will go back to 2-3 pages a week...
Who am I kidding?
