It just seems illogical for him to steal his mother's pills when he's on a multitude of harder substances. Maybe it's just me, but I think the actual point of what Jessie did has been overlooked. At the end of showing them he said something to the effect of "If you think it's fake, show me the exif data for yours and I'll show you mine". I took that as this was just a way to fuck with Nick because Nick will never show the exif data of his photos. So the photos Jessie showed are just as legitimate as the ones Nick showed until Nick proves otherwise.
