Unfortunately, VBS is usually only a few hours a day for about 4-5 days. Usually only for younger kids too. I imagine it's a nice respite for them though.

Sounds like Church of Christ - the "persnickety reasons" is that they are biblical literalists & the New Testament specifies you should "sing in praise of god", whilst making absolutely no reference to using instruments in worship. Basically, using instruments was old testament Jew shit, singing was new testament Christian shit, there's a bit more to it than that, but thats the basic gist of it. Interesting to note that CoC is one of the few churches that doesnt believe Jews are the chosen ones, so they're alright in my book, if a little bit stodgy.

It's quite apparent he is afraid of further betrayals, imo. He thinks the more Kurt talks about him, the more damaging it is to his image. The fact that someone like Kurt can even rile him up and wreck his day speaks to his currently low status and train of thought. He can't have that so he's trying to reverse course and get Kurt to lower to his level as much as possible. That's why he hangs around degenerates. He's a King among men as long as he's able to manipulate people into agreeing with him or playing one of his silly headgames.

Kurt would be wise to use Nick as a way to build emotional self-discipline.
