To play Devil's advocate for a bit, the MC who does the torturing is like 14 himself and the girl being tortured is a psychopathically sadistic, spoiled princess who did the exact same things both to him and other people, for fun, just because she can as a daughter of the king, a female Nick if you will. She has a psycho lesbian sister who date rapes women she meets in bars, then kills their fathers who meet her later for some clan vengeance.
Much worse than the tortures and rapes is that MC is a piece of shit himself who brainwashes innocent people who did him no harm. For example he buys freedom for some slave wolf girl only to turn her into his personal chain dog and sex slave with his bad touch healing powers.

It's isekai-grade wish fulfillment coombait that nobody would see if not for the controversy, as aside from the shock content contained to maybe 3 episodes (amateur compared to what you can read in de Sade's works available at your local library) is a cookie cutter slice of life you've seen a million times already.

The problem is that the author clearly wrote that as justification for the rape and torture of the female character. Rape was the goal and the author thought "how can I make this okay for my character to do?". It's clearly meant to be titillating, not horrific like Casca in Berserk (I know you are just being the devils advocate).

It's way worse than your typical coomer slop because in most of those are about some generic easy-to-self-insert MC who is surrounded by a small army of attractive women who want to suck his penis and how he is the strongest hero ever. They don't have a scene where the MC breaks a woman's fingers one by one as she screams in pain (in a really disturbing manner), disables her legs forcing her to crawl in terror, talks about how he is erect before threating to shove a red hot iron rod in her vagina unless she lets him rape her.

Edit: Btw if you type Redo of Healer into Wikipedia (at your own peril) you will see that the rape scene is the front cover of the novel the anime is adapting. It's literally the main selling point
