A question of managing expectations. :christine:

I've seen a lot of subtext recently across a few different communities that I wanted to bring up, particularly in posts where people are not happy with their transition progress.

Transitioning via HRT is not guaranteed to make you more attractive. I've seen a few posts where people believe their transition has failed based on their appearance, but to me they look a lot more feminine/female than their original male self. That said, they haven't transformed into Sydney Sweeney just yet in most cases.

Managing your expectations before making any permanent social or biological decisions is super important in my lowly opinion. Be prepared to end up just as conventionally attractive as you were before, or perhaps even less so in some cases.

And I beg you, don't judge the success of your transition on how hot you look in a selfie online. Gender and identity are far more complex than this.

Maybe I'm misreading or misinterpreting, or even projecting a little, so apologies if anyone feels offended by this.
Key quote:
And I beg you, don't judge the success of your transition on how hot you look in a selfie online. Gender and identity are far more complex than this.
Best of the comments (my choice).
Wanting to be attractive is reasonable.

Using beauty standards depicted in mainstream media as a baseline for one's own attractiveness is not.

Thinking of transition in binary terms like "success" and "failure" is incredibly stupid and toxic to begin with, and making conventional attractiveness the core metric for determining that false dichotomy is not just stupid but cruel and malicious.
"Look, kid. HRT isn't going to turn you into an anime girl. You're gonna look like your mother, and that's fine; she's a very beautiful woman ...
It's funny you say that, given how many younger trans folks swarming r/eggs_irl and the other memey trans subs seem to obsess and overflow with gender envy directed at anime girls/(sometimes women) with unrealistic long and voluminous hair, massive badonkers and hyper-feminine faces, bodies and clothes.
And of course the real problem is ... :lit:
(emphasis added)
it's a combo of internalized misogyny and internet community brain worms. patriarchy equates womanhood with prettiness, and devalues the womanhood of women that don't fit to conventional white patriarchal beauty standards. It's pretty pervasive in most larger online trans communities (Reddit, 4tran, etc).

I love it. These people are so fucking insane. I honestly do not get the world these progressives live in. They think we're still living in the 50s, 60s, or 70s. The patriarchy is dead. White women are the ones who have benefitted the most from DEI and that's a fact that even liberals talk about because the data shows it out right.

And white people? Mother of god our country worships niggers. I really despise how these people want to be oppressed. It's the most infuriating part to me. I'm not even a conservative yet I find myself constantly laughing about the delusional world they pretend to live in. I guess it goes hand in hand with their autogynephilia induced delusions

Men still dominate around 80% of leadership/parliamentary positions worldwide. Safe to say we're not living under a dictatorship of the femme just yet. Still, beautiful to see some self-awareness amongst the gender cult - I just wish they could acknowledge that the undesirable looks inherent to their life-long medicalized vanity project is not the fault of society, or some ills inherent to the patriarchy.

It's just reality, and how people see you.

Essence of Troon e-begging will never stop being funny to me despite how pissed it also makes me. Like how the hell do you go broke in India of fucking places? Also, whoever donated to them should go to hell, like seriously no sympathy from me being scammed when he admitted he had turned down work opportunities to oh I don't know make money in the cheapest place to live in the world and be well off all because they care more about trooning out and making lazy ass videos.

I could see this maybe for zoomers, but they're both well adjusted, married, and have professional jobs. One is in their late 30s, the other early 40s, and I've known them for over a decade. They don't fit the demographic you're describing.
I feel like the real question here no one asked is: Do your friends even know about all this stuff? Guys with a full time job and a family to take care of sound like they have better things to do than read up on tranny lore all day. It's pretty easy to be fooled at a glance if you're not forcing yourself to learn about all these manmade horrors like most of us do every day.

I've seen this happen numerous times in real life from people like my mom. For example there is a pooner in our town who works at a store and my mom once asked me if said pooner was a man or a woman cause she couldn't tell. This pooner, much like many stereotypical pooners, is around 5'2, has the thinnest most feminine arms I've ever seen in my life, and uses a fake deep voice (guessing she isn't on T because no frog voice so the kid pretending to be an adult voice has to do for now.) Seems extremely obvious to me, but my mom who doesn't understand any of this tranny shit isn't sure if it's a girl or an unfortunate manlet.

And that is out in the real world, it's much easier to "pass" online for a tranny.

Oh shit son, Chud Logic's favorite! Yeah this guy is hilarious to me. He takes himself so seriously and thinks hes out there changing the world with his garbage videos. I REALLY miss when there was basically three troons only on youtube. Back in 2015 this guy would have been chased off the sight and endlessly roasted. Sort of like Riley Dennis was for being the first tranny to say you must suck the girl penis transphobe.

Oh definitely! I didnt mean to imply we were now ruled by women or even close to it. Just that we are lightyears away from where we were even as recently as 2000. The whining about muh patriarchy holding people down in 2025 is akin to blacks crying about white supremacy in the states. I honestly have to wonder if a lot of it just comes down to people being too young and either dont remember what the west was like 20 years ago or werent around then. That and a lack of knowledge of history or data

Best part: His so called "trans bible" is originally titled:,

Transvestitism, or the erotic urge to crossdress

ITS A FUCKING AGP BIBLE FOR FUCKS SAKE!
That's the thing, I read their posts mourning the knowledge lost when the Nazis burned the books of this institution... Hons, I'm pretty sure you won't like what had been written in these books. Blanchard is an avid TRA in comparison.

1. No, because harming innocents is sinful and thus he will burn in shit in Hell eternally. Assuming it's an actual rapist, of course.
2. They don't, if you're ashamed of being a pooner, that's your brain's remaining logical side sounding all alarms trying to bring you back from lunacy. God gave us free will but expects decorum and modesty, or on easier terms: don't be an unhinged yaoi-addicted histrionic piss obsessed tranny. Be a normal girl.
3. Because God gave us free will, the same free will you (unfortunately) have to be a degenerate tranny.
4. Your existence might be a joke, but that's on you.

What does "dipping" mean here? I don't presume it is tobacco-related?

"Look, kid. HRT isn't going to turn you into an anime girl. You're gonna look like your mother, and that's fine; she's a very beautiful woman ...
No kid you're gonna look like your dad -- if your dad has been raiding the neighborhood clotheslines for dresses, bras and panties.

Pooner's hate being reminded of reality and that people just play along with their fetish.

With my partner being referred to as “girls/ladies”

[–]mostly-lurking- [score hidden] 21 hours ago
Ladies is what gets me sooo bad. It’s already a term that feels diminishing

[–]Charming-River87 [score hidden] 20 hours ago
It’s really sad that a lot of feminine versions of words are sort of seen as derogatory. For instance “lord” isn’t really used at all anymore but “lady” gives me “hey, lady!” vibes.

[–]mostly-lurking- [score hidden] 19 hours ago
That’s fair, I think it feels so negative to me because I work in an office with a group of chatty women and I often get the “come on now ladies” or “is this a hen party” from older attorneys when they want us to keep working and stop talking so I tend to view it as misogynistic when it comes from a man

[–]Charming-River87 [score hidden] 18 hours ago
It does feel more misogynistic when it comes from a man. I agree. I just think all terms that refer to women will become derogatory over time due to the patriarchy we live in. So, I often feel both the sting of misgendering and misogyny simultaneously when I hear certain feminine words, if that makes sense. The former will always be the case but I wish the latter wasn’t.

I changed my name from "Aster" for a few reasons but one of the big reasons was that people FREQUENTLY called me "Astrid". I actually lost it on this one girl once, because she would ask me my name like 1-2x a week, and always call me Astrid after I said Aster. I would correct her every time, and she would correct herself one time then go back to Astrid. After the third week, and like fifth time of this happening, I LOST MY SHIT. I yelled at her that my name is not fucking Astrid. I asked her if she's doing this intentionally, and ended with saying that I would prefer to be referred to by my hair color if she couldn't remember my name, but PLEASE FOR FUCKS SAKE STOP CALLING ME ASTRID. She never called me by that name again.

For some reason it’s when it’s by doctors that pisses me off the most
I’m just over a year on T, with a considerable amount of facial hair and a voice that completely passes, but I have F cups so I don’t ALWAYS pass.
But you’re a DOCTOR FFS 🤦‍♂️

[–]DarkCherriBlossom [score hidden] 7 hours ago
When it’s by doctors, that’s a massive red flag. I don’t care how much money and time I’ll have to spend finding a new therapist, I’m getting outta there. Especially when they don’t stop after being told to.

Oh no my therapist is amazing, this is like, medical doctors
Just yesterday I went to urgent care because I knew I had caught strep throat (again), and in the chart note the doctor referred to me as “she” the whole time
Testosterone is in my chart, which she saw, and mentioned to me. I have a pretty decent beard, and my voice passes completely.
But I wasn’t binding, because I can’t BREATHE (asthma, Canada is on fire, I’m four hours south of it)
and I have F cups

My ex gf referred to my abusive ex bf by saying, “must have been nice having someone with an actual dick instead of a man in a woman’s body.” 🤢 this woman pretended to be an ally too

[–]CristalVegSurfer [score hidden] 17 hours ago
That's utterly disgusting. I'm sorry for any trans person that had to hear that uttered in their presence.

Thank you for the kind words. We definitely have to be careful about who we carry with us into our transition. For many, it’s a super hormonal and emotional time while our bodies and minds adjust. Emotional manipulation can sabotage things big time.

This quote really stood out to me. They truly think that women and by extension womanhood are lesser beings and just sexual objects for men thanks to their porn addictions.
Unless it's for their tranny masters.

"I just think all terms that refer to women will become derogatory over time due to the patriarchy we live in."

Tranny left Literally Shaking™ after being told the harsh truth that not every single fucking miniscule thing in the universe revolves around trannies.

You can try your very hardest, but you will never be capable of hating these people enough. It's just not biologically possible.
The thing about the protests is that organizers are requesting that people only carry American flags, so troons aren't even being singled out. But, everything has to be about troons all the time.
