Its always funny and pathetic when some self-righteous faggot tries to quote tweet something they posted and act like it's some sort of own.
The only proper response to that troon.

I'm not so sure about that...

I'm not saying that there weren't non-white people in England in 1605, there was, apparently, a small black community of 25 individuals in London at the time, but Asian migration into England only really occurred in significant numbers the 1950s. The first Indian to live in Britain was a diplomat to the Mughal Empire who arrived in 1765, over a hundred years later, so certain casting choices seem somewhat improbable.
I guess, I just know an older man that went to see it and I have a really hard time thinking that he didn't say anything when there were muslims or black people in it. Not in a particularly racist way, in a basic historical accuracy way.

Does he patronize the theatre often? He might just be accustomed to it. Casting for the stage has always been like that.

Boy George continues to be an asshole on X and JKR responds.

There are many differences between us, George, but some are particularly relevant to this debate.
1. You're a man and I'm a woman.
2. You've been wealthy and famous since your early 20s. I didn't become well known until I was well over 30.
3. I've never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and beating him with a chain.
4. I believe in freedom of speech and belief.
For more than half my life I was a regular anonymous person. Some of those years were spent in poverty. That's why I understand the importance of single-sex spaces for women who're reliant on state-funded services. That's why I understand why mixed public changing rooms are a problem for women. That's why I have a problem with men 'identifying' into women's rape crisis centres, domestic abuse and homeless shelters that are supposed to be single-sex. I don't stand against gender identity ideology because I personally still need those services, but because my life has taught me exactly how vulnerable women are when they don't have the money/influence I have now.
You yourself have been convicted of violent assault. The overwhelming number of people who commit crimes of violence are male, just like you. That's why I don't want to see men identifying into women's prison cells or any of the spaces mentioned above. Not all men are violent or predatory, but enough are to make safeguarding necessary.
Lastly, I'm a writer who believes in freedom of speech and belief. As we both know, the safe, fashionable thing in the arts world right now is to do exactly what you're doing: parrot TWAW and sneer at the unenlightened plebs who think sex is important and matters. For a man who was once all about non-conformity, George, you couldn't have become more predictably or more tediously conformist.

...The old man sobbed, fatly, in an irrelevant tone of voice.
Idk why addicts think anything related to their addiction can be considered a lifetime achievement. Congrats, you successfully extricated yourself from a terrible situation you put yourself in through your own choices. You have ideally achieved a state of sobriety that most people exist in daily without trying, but realistically are probably still on something.

I only have sympathy for addicts when they ended up as such through medical malpractice, but even then I wouldn't consider them "icons." More like unfortunate victims.

Imagine if JKR were so irrelevant she had to list quitting cigs as her second greatest achievement. Embarrassing.

Why is he acting like that absolves him from chaining someone to a radiator and torturing them? Gary Glitter sold a lot of records too...
He's trying to use the "I was drunk"-defense. He just can't help himself from still trying frame it as some sort of super cool P.Diddy-esque Partyboy lifestyle. If he did something bad it wasn't his fault. And if it was his faults it was actually cool. And if it wasn't cool he was a victim. And if he wasn't a victim, think about how much he has sacrificed for society, being an icon and all.
