How is the footage not in the public's interest when Nick has been asserting police wrongdoing from day 1 without any kind of disavowal?

Its not just public interest. The legal question becomes a subjective one of if there are matters of public interest involved that overcome the privacy rights of the people concerned.

In theory, Nick's long list of accusations of governmental misconduct and criminal activity during the search should make it a matter of public interest. But the standard that gets applied is subjective and not absolute.

I still fail to understand how regular viewers manage to watch him. Beyond the flawed reasoning and poor legal analysis, there’s the grating voice, the odd body language with his eyes darting everywhere, the incessant huffing into the microphone, and his habitual complaining about his own troubles on every stream.
