i remember my grandpa telling me this as a kid "the world is cruel, so choose not to be cruel back". like yeah people can be scummy
The people these videos appeal to are often at the bottom (or feel that way). 15 year old boys that get bullied or are invisible to girls. Young guys that are working a deadend job with an abusive manager. Young women bouncing from guy to guy and being treated as a pump and dump. The 40 yo divorcee that living in a tiny apartment paying alimony and child support. The single mom. Someone in a ton of debt. They all get a feeling they got slighted or screwed over. If you ask them, they know it is irrational, but that doesn't change what they feel. Then a guy comes in and tells them he got this get rich quick scheme. It is legit, but others don't do it because they are suckers. But you aren't a sucker, are you? You're going to be a winner that gets to pay off all his debt, get a young hot wife, help his family, work one day a week, and drive a lambo.
but i feel these people invest in the wrong stuff (meme stocks, MLM, and those "self help" guides these people push on social media).
Because they're scams. The real way to help yourself is long, boring and painful. Picking up a trade, getting evening lessons next to your job, working as an apprentice, slowly build up experience, being frugal as you build up your experience and life, that is not very sexy. Investing in a diverse portfolio with a few % growth you should slowly put in bits of money for 40 years isn't spicy either. Besides, how many news stories have you heard of some plumber working hard for 40 years, slowly building up his own business, developing his finances in the evening, and leaving his family rich, have you heard?
to me self help is like starting small and going bigger and bigger with time
Because that actually works. Turning your life around in 5 years feels a lot more appealing than slowly grinding it out in 20 years. The most vulnerable people also have debts. Digging yourself out of a hole that is 5 maxed out credit cards deep is very slow and painful. You're spending a ton of interest, you barely pay back on the principal sum. It also means that for the coming 20 years you're putting all your "disposable money" in paying off debts, not fun things. The people impulsive enough to max out credit cards aren't the people that are willing to live frugally.
And to Tate's credit, his message does seem to be more reasonable. Less "get rich quick by scamming people" more "get rich quick by working 80 hours per week". It is what makes him harder to discredit.
, i feel most of them would blow it on dumb shit (fancy cars, prostitutes, and big houses
Most poor people have a fascination with shiny trinkets. Poor people flaunt their wealth with the new iphone, nouveau riche with lambos, actually rich people with understated luxurious pieces.
Side note i dont understand the obsession these people have with lamborghinis, they're cool cars i guess
It is just what success looks like to them. Wingsofredemption bought a new truck and mustang every year even though he's a homebody. Why? Because successful people in his trailer park flaunt their success with trucks.
99.9% of these soi disant hustlers are broke ass niggas
At some point they realize the aactual get rich quick scheme is selling the scheme to others. You don't get rich selling MLM goods, you don't get rich recruiting other people, you get rich selling seminars on how to get rich with MLM. Same with dropshipping.
Even the Tates themselves are on borrowed time
What is funny is that they could've just cashed out years ago. Quietly run your pimping camgirl business, make millions, launder it, then live a quiet life with your harem. But they got high on their own supply and think caring for kids is gay or something.
edit: sorry for the autistic sperging.
