One thing I do disagree with Ross on is the point he makes about the company needing to give 2 years notice before they shut off a game as not being good enough. To be entirely honest I suspect a lot of companies would want to avoid making public statements like "We will shut off the game 2 years from now" because it gives an enormous amount of time to A) reverse engineer it and B) for the press to continuously write articles reminding them it's happening. They could also run into an issue where the game flops and they have to keep it going for 2 years. It might be enough to save some (but not all) of these games from being carelessly shut off permanently.
