I deadass think that Jason would still to his dying breath say that he was right and that the whole thing will harm gaming overall because it's "too vague". I'm super late to it but I watched the 3+ hour video Jason did with the Dr K guy. Even when Dr K was obviously coddling him, playing to his ego giving him soft asspats yet still asking "Can you see how things you say or the way you word them makes people think you're arrogant?", Jason was still sitting there saying things like, "I don't want to dumb my language down or apologize just because these people want it. That makes me feel icky".

He never even entertains that he could be totally in the wrong or that he comes off as an annoying smug prick. He will in passing say that he shouldn't have been smug or that he's combative but Jason will never ever sit there and say honestly that he was totally in the wrong. As much as Jason deserves all of this; I honestly feel he had a minimal impact on the StopKillingGames petition.

Sad fact of the matter is that Ross was obviously not prepared to be leading the charge of this movement (Even admitting so himself), and he hasn't done much to get the petition out there to the wider public, especially to gamers in the EU who don't speak a lick of English.

While it's great that the biggest talking heads online are finally talking about it and encouraging their fans to sign it, it's honestly too little, too late.

It would require them to get at least 14,000 signatures daily between now and July 31st. That is going to be a monumental task.

It's true that SKG was always going to be an uphill battle at best, and there was always a big chance that it was going to fail just because of the scope and the requirements.

What most people take issue with is
1: That Jason's post took a long shot to a no shot, for something that most people believe is at least a step in the right direction even if it's imperfect.
2: That he did so by spreading misinformation about the topic, and has never apologised or offered a retraction for.
3: That he never disclosed his personal investment in a game that would be a prime candidate to be affected by this initiative, making him a biased commentator from the start.

It's not even that Jason's responses killed the initiative. It's that the responses were built on falsity as a fundamental, and he's too proud to admit and apologise on that front. If he'd acknowledged his mistakes early on, issued a retraction, and then came out still adamantly against SKG, he'd never have gotten this much flak for it.

But if you look into (or just listen to) this guy for a couple minutes, I think even the most docile cattle-person would think "This guy is an arrogant, boring faggot." That's without getting into the gay furry ERP, killing ferrets out of neglect or the enigmatic bathroom gnome.

It's a slog of a stream since no progress is made with Mald at all. His primary frustration is not being in complete control of the drama of the time and he can't process why mass bans and lying aren't working for him anymore.

I was going through and taking notes on Dr. K's stream with Mald and figured it would be nice to have searchable text and another way for anyone to get something out of it without suffering through the stream itself. It still ended up being excessive but I think the quotes, especially later on, are important.

A few times, Dr. K says if something Mald said was written out, then it would be help illustrate how what he says rubs people the wrong way so I made sure to do that and for the most part I agree but I also believe, and I also believe Dr. K believes, that hearing it out loud is...
