I also forgot about this. Making sure that your download doesn't fail due to internet issues, YouTube being fucky wucky, and others. I've been open to developing some kind of tool or way to do this without issue. However, I don't know how autistic I am willing to devote to it.There's also dealing with your tool aborting a download early, I run into issues with that a lot particularly withyt-dlp --live-from-start
and I have to put in some extra work to resume the download by using--keep-fragments
, deleting the original merged file, and restarting the download.
Eeerm....acktually, source code and documentation are both covered copyright, so releasing those things to the public would be a hecking violation of the developer's intellectual property rights. Imagine a poor, small indie company having to shut down their game because they can't afford the servers, and now having to release all their source code. And it turns out that small company had actually written some of the most revolutionary netcode the world has seen, and now the evil big corpos can gobble it up for free, all because the original devs couldn't pay their server costs and had to release their intellectual property to the public as a punishment. Is that really what you want to do? Force all these small indie companies to release their incredible custom libraries for the evil companies like Epic to steal. When your live service game goes off line, you can release the source code. And this documentation, right here, you can use your eyes to read it and understand the code.

Charlie on the non-zero chance you're reading his thread, leak the DMs between you and him.Praying for this to somehow reach Charlie and have him make another video on it
Louis Rossmann makes a great point about this in reference to similar EULA fuckery in this video:not to defend the libertarians but i definetly see the point of not particularly wanting to run to the government to solve a problem that could be soved with some self restraint (not buying the slop). What the libs fail to understand is the shear amounts of cooperation that need to take place inorder for that to work is ridiculous.
yh... thats the point of my message...?every gamer with "restraint" is out-bought by a factor of 100:1 of normies and niggers breaking down the doors of Best Buy to purchase the newest Call of Duty.
what does the colour of my name have to do with the argument of the libertarians are wrong about believing this is solvable with out the government? Why is it always the pink names?
nah that's niggerish. i want to get the file itself, not my recording of itJust screen capture it on a throwaway machine.
I am impressed that thor managed to convince himself that that makes him look good.Read the actual reddit post:
Wouldn't that just be giving context to thors leaks?Charlie on the non-zero chance you're reading his thread, leak the DMs between you and him.
Whatever works best, I want more gasoline poured on this roach bonfire.Wouldn't that just be giving context to thors leaks?
Pro-SKG can hate him for smearing their side and and Anti-SKG can hate him for making their side look retarded. If he'd have presented this as is main reasoning from the very beginning and his only hesitation going forward, I highly doubt he'd have this much push back. Fuck's sake.
I know I'm a tourist - didn't think Thor had a thread, I just ignored his shit when his shorts came up and scrolled to the next one - but if Pewds of all people actually endorses SKG, then I can see it hitting it's goal at warp speed knowing his fanbase.
Mald thinks devs think like publishers. I doubt many devs have much interest to have their hard work disappear off the face of earth because a publisher thinks there's money to made by doing it"Think like a dev" is a phenomenon among entertainment bootlickers that happens way too fucking often. Ironically, the only people who "think like devs" are console fanboys, brand fanboys, and people who actually enjoy skinnerbox concepts like gacha and battle passes and beg for them to be added to more games. Nobody in the industry whose role involves actually programming shit or making assets actually thinks "Like a dev".
You can't be serious. "Individual devs" have no control over what the companies and publishers who own the rights do.I'd be more comfortable with approaching Indvidual devs on this than asking the government to step in. On this, I am actually on PirateSoftware's side. Absolutely. If he'd have presented this as is main reasoning from the very beginning and his only hesitation going forward, I highly doubt he'd have this much push back. Fuck's sake. The government literally had Zoe Quinn and a couple of her orbiters go to the UN and cry about their self-inflicted "oppression". Do you REALLY trust the government that much to regulate something that they don't really give much of a shit about in the first fucking place?

It's all for the little guy that we need to resist any type of consumer advocacy.
