What the fuck in the maid cleaning exactly and what are they cleaning it with?

She also said she has to have someone mow the lawn.

I figured the place is already hideous and Mem doesn't want a repairman, possibly the landlord himself, to see what a disaster it is. The same reason hoarders would rather poop in a bucket than let maintenance inside.

So that's why maid service and landscaping are her NEEDS, when a landlord is legally required to repair a roof leak and fix the toilet. (She probably is using her n95 mask requirement as a stalling tactic, keep an informal inspection away without explicitly saying.)

As I understand it, her house is so disgusting that the repairs cannot be done. Or at least not without the repairmen telling on her to the landlord or the city. Kind of sounds like this has happened before.

I don't think Mem has addressed this in all the time I've seen her crowdfunding, but she always moves into an actual house, not an apartment. If it's just her and her useless friend/bf and their cat, they would be fine with just a one-bedroom apartment or even a studio, not a multi-story house.

Also many houses are independent owners who are more likely to accept poor credit and history and sob stories, instead of the corporations running apartments that just immediately reject her

I think @Chub Rub largely nails it - Apartments tend to be run by a manager, whether an individual in charge of a small place or a management company/corp for larger portfolios. These managers tend to perform the background checks that would come back with both red flags and a submarine's warning klaxon if Mem was run through the computer databases for a background check.

Another possibility is the fact nearly every apartment building has at least one nosy neighbor who tends to be a drama llama that would report Mem for every little thing let alone the malodorous squalor that would waft into the hallways every time someone enters or leaves Mem's apartment.

Despite desperately needing this money extremely soon to secure the cleaner's booking, she gave $25 to Elisea (who is now living in a hotel with her children)

I like how she expects friends and family to help her out. I bet they've already been alienated and/or refuse to be anywhere near the rentals she turns into toxic dumps as if she has a reverse Midas touch. Most people want nothing to do with fixing stuff at a place that is so stinky and hazardous it would jeopardize their own health and well being even if they wore the requisite safety gear - especially for an ingrate such as Mem.

It would be different if she at least kept the property up and needed help with simple upkeep. How many Kiwis have had a friend contact them and ask, "Hey, can you help with (whatever)? I can't afford to pay you, but we're ordering lunch and you can even have the cold drink of your choice as our thanks." Those are the people one is more likely to help because they have their shit together and show some form of gratitude for the assistance.

The w(h)ine never stops for Mem. I could be wrong, but all sorts of maladies from sinus allergies/drainage to recent strains of COVID start with a sore throat or feature one. At this point, her crowdfunding grift attempts are indistinguishable from the usual noise on social media. Nothing negative ever happens no matter how short she claims to be with her targets, so I imagine many people have become desensitized with her over time. Still, the growing cries for "Moar gibs" are entertaining to document here.

Oh wow, I did not catch that. She'll occasionally randomly private for a couple hours, too.

Maybe she was going to start begging for the water bill after the gas would be paid, but since her well is drying up, she didn't start begging for it until right before it shut off? It never ends for a chronic e beggar, and Mem has been at it long enough that she will begin begging for next month's rent right before the current month's is due sometimes.

She's also been begging for Elisea again. Haven't posted much of it as I'm debating whether to put that here or in E Beggars. Probably both. Mem has been using Elisea being evicted in February as a pity point for both of them.
