This is exactly what happened and I couldn't say it as succinctly. I have watched dozens of youtubesloppers and not a single one knows anything about Ross or has watched any of his videos, they all just give a shit about the drama/anger towards mald (because it's lucrative) and then just generally supporting SKG which whatever that's ultimately good. One of the things that pissed me off though is how many people think him talking shit about SKG was after the roach incident, even though his anti-SKG stuff was 5/6 months before that. Nearly all of these fucktards are commenting on a video of a guy watching a video of another guy refuting the comments of another guy whom the first guy is also refuting the comments of.

In that case allowing an online game to be hosted by players in the same way should be trivial. I've been making a point to a few of my non-gaming european acquaintances that made them sign, which is that this initiative can essentially serve as a stepping stone for reigning in general software development companies that have completely lost the plot with SaaS pricing models like Adobe.
Now, it probably won't bring single-purchase licensing back, but at least it will in theory stop them from outright murdering software packages that already had active and dedicated user bases that suffered greatly as a result of those sunsettings. There's a video on youtube titled "For-Profit Creative Software" that goes into a few cases like this mainly regarding Autodesk as one of the biggest offenders. I'm surprised nobody at large is making this point, but maybe I just haven't seen any discourse on this myself.

Now, more to the topic of the thread: This guy always looked fishy to me and I've heard that his entire EvE online story was completely made up but I haven't seen any evidence of this other than word of mouth from a few people I briefly discussed him with.
