Streaming became more low-effort and profitable, which is why there's a lack of good longform videos these days. Turkey Tom got off the streaming train because he was bullied and went back to videos only, which is funny. Not everyone can hack it, being live I guess.

Streaming is for people to play video games so that you can watch other people having fun when you can not/learn some tricks. I watched streamers back when i was working the night shift.

I will explain, on the internet there is a category of content made solely to shock and be disturbing. This shock content is shared as a joke meant to illicit a reaction. Examples of shock content are quite prolific, tubgirl, goatse, lemonparty, the scrolling shock pictures on Encyclopedia Dramatica, etc.
Jim's content isn't what it used to be, the streams are low effort and lack the structure of the fun stream.me ones or the polish of a proper video. That can't be denied, but trying to pearl clutch about a person that has openly reveled in being part of an older internet where trolling and shock videos and weird shit in general could kind of be thrown about is silly. Are we going to accuse null of being gay because he watched Goosh Goosh with a bunch of people? Should we speculate, "What kind of person would watch an anime clip about a teenage youth in a gang getting raped to death by a giant fat guy?"
No, we should be honest about what kind of place the internet is. The worst stuff in the Vtuber community is the lolibaiting where a grown woman puppets an avatar of a child to appeal to overstimulated porn addicts. Pointing at two people sharing obvious shock videos online and laughing about them distracts from this point, and lends credence to the counter that everyone that is against Vtubers is a pearl clutching puritan that doesn't get the internet. As stupid as all the thirst baiting merch is how much worse is it than a stupid bbq apron that has a statue of David on it with a giant dong that you can find in a tourist shop in italy? Or joke towels you can get in a beach town? I get that it's cringe, but don't lose perspective on what kind of stupid jokes that are common in the real world.

Yeah but here is the thing, shock content including gore was never something someone saved on his computer, in most cases at least. Due to the sole purpose of it being to illicit a violent disgust reaction from the unsuspecting user noone really saved those that is not fucked in the head.

In my eyes that doesn't make it ok. Because it's "older internet", that's not an excuse. These videos are still disgusting and anyone that saves them on his computer and to the point of trading them with someone, as he did with Kirsche, is fucked in the head. Maybe it's the chemotherapy, or his 100 different diseases but this isn't a valid cope. I find this to be a valid point of criticism because why in the fuck would you be trading videos like these.

Again it's not pearl clutching, it's a valid point of criticism. It doesn't take from the other part of the argument either. It's not like you have to focus on one or the other. Sure it's not as bad as his current loli fuckup and his previous one with Purity Sin, but saving videos of worms in vaginas with staples and whatever the fuck. Eww. Disgusting. I can't find any valid reason as to why would someone save them on his computer, let alone trade for them.

Any association is suspicious. How many people do you know personally associated with such child abuse, and if so, is it bemused friendship as it is with Jim? Even in entertainment, a world riddled with human trafficking rings. Any association with Diddy or Jeffery Epstein is kept under a microscope by the public. Even if it's a random photo bomb, or a fleeting invitation to a pretty public party, its ominous.

Jim was a teacher, if he had these associations then it be more then concerning. It's the sort of thing that could lead to schoolboard hearings and public comment. Some of this stuff is really reaching. "What kind of sick fuck would save shock images or videos to their computer?" How do you think anything gets onto this site? Is it all linked from imgur or pixiv? People save shocking things and share them online, that's the entire basis for this whole site.
