Lets be real, GTAIV is never happening. Or if it does, it's with half installed mods with broken elements. His troubleshooting skills are nonexistent.

I once again remind you of last year when three individual devices on his network failed to receive a connection, and instead of immediately deducing it was his router (what are the chances three separate devices in his house failed at the exact same time), he sat around for multiple hours trying everything else and mocking people who suggested it was his router, before finally resetting his router which instantly fixed the problem. Retard.

GTA4 PC port is notoriously busted. Gotta mod it just to make it look like the 360 version. And even then it's still broken. For instance, if you set the view distance too high, NPCs spawn in a mile wide radius. Meaning if the game spawns say 30 pedestrians, instead of spawning them on the street you're on, they're spawn them 10 blocks over so you'll only see 5 of them at a time, making the streets empty and devoid of life. It's gonna be interesting to see what state Phils GTA4 is in lol

My money on just graphical mods, he's probably got a reshade and a few texture and model tweaks.

No way he got new cars or weapons (tbh though GTA4's modding scene isn't the best). I really wonder why he choose GTA 4, rockstar games are usually not the most mod friendly games, especially when you have the tech literacy of a chimpanzee.

He could have gone with any bethesda title and would have made his life 100% easier especially since he's still paying for nexus, he could have huge 500+ skyrim modlists installed with one click.
(although, let's be realist, he won't try any mods and just stick to the main campaign)

It's funny how he always manages to shoot himself in the foot by taking the worst decisions all the time

well probably not gta 4 because its a janky ass console only game trying really hard to pretend that it isnt, but older rockstar pc games are extremely moddable. gta san andreas has a legendary modding scene and is so easy to work with a 9 year old can figure it out.

But can Phil?

I chuckled when he said it only ran at 50fps when modded and then said that was what it ran at vanilla too. Like yeah GTA4 has always run like complete dogshit. I think the real problem for Phil is there is no click and go GUI like minecraft has where it does all the work for him. And I don't think that exists for the earlier GTAs either.

What that tells me is that he didn't install FusionFix and the graphics modpack that fixes all the broken textures in the PC port, or the dent in charge of handholding him through it didn't tell him to, or he's too fucking dumb to set up FusionFix. Either of the three are equally as likely. They're THE two mods you have to install if you want a smooth vanilla experience or if you want to install more mods. He's ngmi

I just checked how to install it and depending on the GTA IV version you have you need to roll it back, no way Piggy managed to check his game version or use the tool to change versions.

I wish he'd have livestreamed his modding adventure, that would have been the funniest thing to watch

He's got someone who makes GTA mods helping him, it's probably not that amazing. They can just go step by step and tell him exactly what to do.

To him though, this is like writing an operating system from scratch. Just a Herculean task that no one has ever managed and certainly not thousands of children. I wonder if the dents will even be that receptive. Did they ask for this? Seems odd.

Best part is Phil’s total lack of accountability.

(Can you imagine him trying to instill a Linux? “PACKAGES?!? HUNH?!? I didn’t order anything! Tuh-heh-heh!”)

Any kid over 12 would likely have gone: “Idk guys… This is kinda hard and technical, I’m not good with all this modding!”

Phil though? He has to point out that HE did everything correctly, followed ALL of the instructions. And it just WOULDNT WORK! Piece of shit mod! POS game! Nothing he could do!”

Terry would like a word.

Fyi, ALT is currently doing a lore stream of when Phil became KNOWN for being bad at games
He was always known for being bad

ALT came across this, which is Phil bitching and whining about the old fighting games he loves so much nowadays and how fair and balanced and skillful they were. It's the same bitching and whining you hear with SF6 nowadays.

Two decades of complaining about 90% combos and no-life losers who play fighting games 24 hours a day.

I like how Phil tells people to get out of the arcade online, but would never have the courage to pipe up in person.
