Argue with Americans about how it's a sin against the God of Capital to stop a corpo from raping you

You're a eurocuck!!! get out. I thought you were a mutt. Nothing you say can be taken seriously. You didn't even know EU law has primacy over national law. Everything you say is a cope and you talking about dicks all of the time makes sense, you're probably a Swede. The worst kind of eurocuck. Go get your dress and your programmer socks on you snow worm. Your country is irrelevant and full of Somalians

this is you
I accept your defeat.

people that are making a emulator of your online game
OK so a group of dedicated developers that are reconstructing old LOL whom are likely running on the same type of servers that riot uses ok I guess?
What SKG is demanding is that devs at the end of their games lifespan is to rewrite a new server and client package for single instance servers, something which will take significant time, effort and ofcourse money to do. This will increase the already high costs for games and increase barrier of entry for indie devs.
TLDR - "it's possible but we don't want to decrease profit margins, so fuck you"
Yeah, if you increase development costs then purchasing costs are gonna go up.

You're not a libertarian, you're just fucking wrong about why businesses fail here. You blame EU over-regulation but praise America's "better environment," then use Ubisoft Montreal as your prime example. You know why they're in Montreal? Because Quebec gave them massive tax credits—over a billion dollars. That's not a free market, that's government subsidy, the very thing you pretend to hate.
No tax is government intervention..... ummmmm. Did you ask Chat GPT to generate you this?
So let me get this right, the government taxes you. I guess that's not state intervention. They decide to tax you less, or not, that's government intervention?
Yeah, I must be fucking stupid. Thanks for explaining
You talk about a "brain drain" from CD Projekt, but talent moving around is just the global games industry. It's not a one-way street out of the EU.
Shit GPT bullshit. And yes brain draining usually works one way and that's what's happening. All the talented guys I know with programming skills moved to Canada or the US. It happens generation after generation. Get your head out the sand
The EU has programs like Creative Europe and MediaInvest, pouring millions into game dev startups and studios.
No amount of grants is going to compensate for the fact that taxes are high and wages are low. More state intervention doesn't fix what state intervention broke in the first place. You also sound like a eurofag actually. I'm starting to suspect there is not a single real red blooded american in this thread
You talk about contract law like you've got a JD from watching daytime TV. "Just sue them"? You think a regular person can take on a multi-billion dollar corporation's legal team over a $60 game? The whole point of the "Stop Killing Games" petition is that the Terms of Service are bullshit one-sided contracts designed to fuck you, and the system is rigged. It's not about "emotional attachment," it's about not getting robbed.
Then you pull out that meme chart. You ask, "Where is Europe’s equivalent to Nvidia?"
Where is Europe's semiconductor company? It's called ASML. It's a Dutch company that every single high-tech dick you have on your little US chart—Apple, Nvidia, Intel, all of them—depends on for their survival. They have a global monopoly on the machines that make advanced chips. The US tech industry literally cannot function without this single EU company.
So before you cry about Siemens being an "old industrial giant," maybe recognize that Europe built the one company that holds the keys to the entire modern economy. You talk about your developer friends leaving for Canada. Good for them. Maybe they got lured by the same government subsidies that built Ubisoft Montreal, which you praise as a free-market success.
You're not a libertarian. You're a whiny, short-sighted cliché who sees a chart, ignores the facts that don't fit your narrative, and blames "EU red tape" for everything, including your own friends leaving. You don't know how things work here because you're too busy fellating a simplistic vision of America that doesn't even exist. Happy 4th of July, cuck, Americans hate you and so do we.
All this is AI dude, and it sounds as pissy and bitchy as you did before so I'm not going to bother. Yeah ASML is a good company btw. We don't have many like that because we usually destroy them.

Happy 4th of July, cuck, Americans hate you and so do we.
Who is "we" you're probably half philippino, half Ukrainian. Thanks for confirming you're a eurofag who loves the EU and state intervention, now please drink the soy and shut up

Did you hit your head? Deciding not to collect money from a specific company to get them to do something is the definition of intervention. It's a subsidy. You're giving them money they would have otherwise paid. Is this really so hard to understand, or are you just pretending to be stupid? You praise a system built on the exact "state intervention" you claim to hate.

You cannot be fucking serious. Do you realize how fucking stupid that demand is?

Do you think you can take over the servers? mfg well thank you for clarifying. If you think the Commission is going to give you this you're dumber than I give you credit for.

They will laugh in your face. This is nothing more than a bunch of gamers going "waa waa I want to keep playing my game" and pretending it's about property rights. Listen idiot, the fact that you pay a monthly fee to access a WoW server does not mean you can take over the server when the company wants to shut down the game, you pizza faced mongoloids. Get lost

And then I get people saying, "oh no but you don't get it, this is about DRM deactivation for my single player offline only game" it's not. You can't force a company to do business and to keep providing you with your excuse for not getting a life. It's not a single purchase it's a fucking subscription. I'm fucking right I was always right. No matter how much you sperg at me and chimp out and scream and seethe and changes nothing. I knew it

nope it doesn't, it tells FUTURE games that they should have a EOL plan beforehand and if they cannot provide said EOL plans then they should find a way because fan-made server emulators can, they sure as shit can too, it even tackles intellectual propitah too.

Yeah, that's the sound of your brain rebooting after it touched a real economic concept and crashed. Let me draw it for you with crayons, you absolute fucking specimen.

When the government decides EVERYONE pays 25% tax, but then tells your favorite company "Just kidding, you pay 5% because you're special," that's not the fucking free market. It's a deliberate, targeted intervention to pick a winner. It's a handout. A subsidy. A "tax expenditure" is what the grown-ups call it.

Yes, lowering taxes and deregulating brings business. Glad you figured that one out.

Thank you and good bye

No, lowering taxes and deregulating isn't some magic fucking spell you chant to summon businesses. Glad you admitted you have no idea what you're talking about.

You're waving goodbye because you got pinned to the wall. You built your whole argument on hating "state intervention" and then gargled the balls of a company propped up by over a billion in government subsidies.
This was never about whether taxes are high or low. It was about your incessant ballwashing of burgers.
But since you want to play dumb, let's talk about your magic formula. Ask the state of Kansas how it worked out for them. They tried the same thing, gutting their taxes with the same promises you're making. The result? Their economy tanked, they slashed funding for schools and roads, and their own Republican legislature had to reverse the whole goddamn thing because it was such a catastrophic failure.

So yeah, thank you and goodbye, buckbroken nigger. YWNBAA (You Will Never Be An American).

Nigger you can't just play the vast majority of multiplayer games on a completely different type of server, it's incompatible for a game that runs on advanced elastic architecture to run just fine on single servers or game pcs with maybe slightly lower player count. The server code needs to be rewritten to adapt to those servers which is a nightmare.
SKG would force devs to write a downloadble version of the server, it may not say it because it was clearly written by someone who doesn't understand what he's talking about but it would.

Bitch no it fucking doesn't. The fuck are you even talking about? "Advanced Elastic Architecture." You fucking Maldbaby. Lemme list off some MMO's I can run a private server right now on my own shit and play by myself aka "IN A FUCKING PLAYABLE STATE"! Ahem...World Of Warcraft, Tera, Black Desert Online, Final Fantasy 11, Shin Megami Tensei Imagine, CITY OF HEROES, Star Wars Galaxies, Drift City, Ace Online, Aion, Aura Kingdom, Legend Of Mir 1-4, Perfect World, Silk Road, Your mom.

Bitch no it fucking doesn't
Please tell me if I have a sophisticated multiplayer game that has a containerised Kubernetes/AWS EKS back end like how Riot Games hosts their games. How do I adapt this advanced elastic enterprise architecture to be compatible with launching on home PCs and single instance servers without totally rewriting it?

You don't get it. It's not retroactive. Meaning games in the future will be designed from the ground up for transition post-support. If you are telling me that companies are unable to design games with easy handover at end-of-life then I'm just as happy to say they don't deserve to ever sell a product.
