It's going to be hell to implement in a codebase like this. If he was actually planning to implement this in a meaningful way, he'd probably resort to insane levels of if-nesting and it would not look pretty. The mercy is that there will always be another drain to unclog, whereas streaming income is never a surefire thing, and translates poorly to any other job. As much as mald's made, he's a one in a thousand chance - hundreds of self-important tards languish at 3 viewers per stream (2 of which are bots).

Not to mention, these things become their own hells. Imagine having to sit in a tiny corner of the internet because you're a known laughingstock literally everywhere else.

Mald's probably gonna be on a steady decline from here on out, and it's shocking how quick things can turn. All that needs to happen is a new smug know-it-all coder streamer to rise, and Mald will be dust in the wind.

Uh, this doesn't seem anywhere near as insane as Undertale's general branching is. Like, Undertale has broadly three routes (Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide), with anything short of either extreme ending up on some variant of neutral. But it has a lot of little nooks and crannies of choices affecting other things in other places, even across save files.

I believe the issue here, and with multiple endings in general is combinatorial explosion. The number of cases to account for doesn't just grow linearly with the number of choices, but up to the number of all the possible choices multiplied together. Though in practice some combinations of the choices simply don't make sense, this also represents additional complexity, because you have to think about how the choices interact. This would be likely be intractable even if being worked on by a good programmer. For an expert beginner like Maldavius, the odds look even worse.

If you're someone non-tech savvy wondering why this is bad; imagine you have stuff, just general stuff lying around. Would you either shove everything into one drawer or select, manage and sort all that stuff into separate ones? Putting everything into one drawing not only sucks for YOU, having to read, write and modify all this shit, but, on a large scale (which this is, fucking 16kb), computationally this suck ass too, if the program only requires one single value to be read from that file, it has to load THE ENTIRE FILE. If he keeps this up, RAM usage will just absolutely bloat.
