It's obvious the defacing of the XLibre wiki article is the real problem here. The problem isn't Canonical hiring a convicted pedo while knowing about it, it's them defending the obvious ideological hate against a FOSS project that their employee has exhibited. It happened to be that he's also a convicted pedo, but he didn't deface the wiki because he's a convicted pedo, it's because he's part of a woke brain virus hate cult that's infecting FOSS and is already metastatized into every part of the FOSS community. It happens to be that a lot of the leaders of this cult are clinically insane tranny pedo groomer faggots, but that's a correlation that might explain their actions, but is distinct from their actions themselves. A clinically insane tranny pedo faggot could have rational ideological views about FOSS and not mix their insanity into it (it might be rare but it's possible). At the same time, a outwardly normal appearing person, not a tranny pedo faggot zoophile, can still be part of the woke cult and attack FOSS projects that display any resistance to being infected by the cult. The cult will attack any project resisting its control, the cult in essence wants power to police speech from the project's developers, so that they can remove any developers that might think things that the cult doesn't like.
If you separate the two - the person's personal life (his past, his convictions and personal ideologies) from their professional life (what they do and say in their professional roles, whether they're employees or freelancers working on FOSS projects) you have to judge the person based on their professional conduct first. While you may have a personal problem with them being a convicted pedo (so do I) that's not what directly affects me or the FOSS community. Him being a woke cultist that defaced a wiki of a project that I could use and that could benefit me personally, does directly affect me. Too often I see purity spiralling on the right that mirrors purity spiralling on the left (obviously with diametrically opposed viewpoints), which leads them to get stuck on a thing about the person that they don't like that isn't directly related to the thing that the person did that affected the community and them, so that they often forget what the issue was in the first place, and start sounding like religious fanatics. Like the far left sounds like nutjobs when they shout "He's a nazi" the right will often fall into shouting "xer is a pedo faggot tranny" and forget to address the core issue.
