While I think the Ct trip is most likely has anyone considered he might be having a mid life crisis / mental breakdown? With the KC arc he was rolling in cash and on his redemption arc and the internet really likes him now. I don't see DSP not streaming if he was home he took off 1 day last time they came to visit I can't see him taking off 2 and then 5 unscheduled thats an easy $2k. The only reason DSP went back to his parent's house the first time was to get married and get money from mommy. He isn't going back there unless they're dying. He was even bitching on stream about how there's "nothing to do" in Connecticut despite the fact he lives in Seattle yet never leaves his house except to go forage for frozen pizza at the grocery store and get more alcohol. He makes every excuse for why NOT to do something before he does anything. Only outside forces can force him into action: Scared of the IRS - Run to mommy to get some munney, Laughed at by LTG - Run to the big boy clothing store to get some shirts besides gaymer shit, Derided for years for his garbage quality camcorder footage - Buy 3 capture cards and leave two of them unopened in the closet for a decade, etc. I could list another dozen retarded examples. DSP is a tism creature of habit, he isn't leaving the snortfort unless someone is "making" him. That someone this time is his stupid dying bitch mother who had the audacity to cling to life for another decade after he said she was already on her death bed.

Of course Phil could prove me wrong when he shows back up on stream in whenver with a bunch of vacation pictures of him and Khet in Mongolia or whatever finally taking a honeymoon, but I put the chances of that lower than Phil being selected to lead the next moon landing mission.
