Looking forward to Phil spending at least 45 minutes to explain what could easily be explained in 2-3 minutes. Assuming that he did indeed go to CT to visit his parents it could be summed up as:
"So I took a week off to visit my parents. They're getting up there in age and have health issues, so I wanted to see them while I still had a chance. Yes, this was planned months in advance. The "unforeseen circumstances" tweet was a Family Protectin' Lie*, because if I let everyone know about this ahead of time, those darn dirty detractors would have surely broken into my house."
Instead we'll get a fucking preamble on his history of growing up in CT, a feature length rant on his airport/flight experience in which he describes some minor inconveniences (that anyone going on a flight likely experiences) as if they're unimaginably terrible mishaps that could have been prevented if everyone but him wasn't a morahn, a detractor rant with with a segment dedicated to how "fucked in the head" Doody is for sharing those photos, which BTW he definitely didn't see on the Farms and only knows about because one of his dents told him, and much, much more.
Surely it will be one of the most fun 'n pahsitive podcasts ever, I can't wait!
Just to get this out of the way, I'll give Phil some extremely small bit of credit for finally visiting his parents, assuming this wasn't for a funeral. It's something he should have done long ago, but again assuming no one died, it's nice that he finally realized that going to visit the woman that coddled him and combed his hair every morning until he was 17 or whatever was more important than streaming for extra spending money for Hogans/DoorDash/Total Wine.
