Sam is the hero and Tolkien confirmed this. He’s not the only hero of the story, but he’s someone who’s more than simply a hero in the moment. His role was ensuring that Frodo, who was never capable of destroying the ring, still brought it to the end.

Seriously, I do love Tolkien’s autism. I love his letters insulting people, those are fantastic.

I love the mythology of the LOTR. Children of Hurin is actually pretty good. Although the story is literally the first dragon cursing someone to incest.

Especially movie Sam, leaves the shire too cowardly to hit on the girl, comes back from Morder and hits that shit like a chad

Well, thanks for all that (I've never been into the fantasy genre, so I've only looked up bits and pieces of the wider verse). Still, I think it can be argued that One Piece has some of the best worldbuilding in shonen.

Sakazuki would find it faster but kill a bunch of people on the way.

Sam would just follow Luffy..but when Luffy collapses against Imu...Sam would show up with light of Erandil and drive Imu back to his castle.

LOTR is the rock that modern fantasy is built on and part of it is Tolkien being a Catholic British monarchist with a love of history, folklore, and language. The world is thought out and it was almost meant to be a mythology for the British who lost there’s due to Roman and Christian influence.

It’s not an allegory for anything, Tolkien actually hated allegory. Tolkien admired sub-creation. Something in his philosophy was praise of God by imitation. It’s a major theme in LOTR, Melkor (Sauron’s boss) effectively throws a tantrum because he cannot create ex nihilo and tries to mar creation. Sauron himself is basically an autist who thinks he can optimize creation and personified in LOTR by his actions as a commander.

The books aren’t difficult, but the writing can be stiff and Tolkien doesn’t care too much about fighting. It’s more the characters facing challenges, going places, and the people of Middle-Earth banding together against Sauron.

Also, the Silmarillion has a giant spider demon that’s the embodiment of hunger that produces unlight.

This is one of those things I have autism about.

Zoro is probably avenging Mihawk after Shiryu pulled his Assassination bullshit...if that happens....I am kind of doubting the "Strawhats vs Blackbeards in 1 v 1s" idea..mostly because the Strawhats outside of Luffy haven't actually MET Blackbeards crew except for Kuzan.

Remember how Helmeppo started out like that? It's amazing how much he changed after being forced to make something of himself.

I’ve always felt like that Luffy vs Blackbeard thing was only those two individuals specifically. But then again, I think that a lot of the time when things get to “liberate a country from an oppressive force” it’s always the Straw Hats going after the lackeys (AKA: the few times that the non monster duo/trio members get to actually fight and not get folded like a lawn chair) before Luffy goes in to fight the head honcho (or at least be the one who delivers the knockout blow).

So anything beyond Blackbeard and Luffy throwing hands would end up being an added bonus imo.

Just saying, the guy Luffy crushes at Shell Town easily is not going to be even fodder in the NW. Oda said that Morgan would be Lieutenant level for the Grand Line. That is nothing. In the NW, 100.000 Berry bounties are nothing. He would not be fodder, he would be grass being fed to the lawn mower. BB can grab randos from the street and they would be stronger than Morgan.
 
One good thing about post time skip One Piece is that Oda isn't afraid of drawing good looking women. It's always hilarious to watch leftoid One Piece fans cry about Nami and other female characters becoming
"over-sexualized" as the series progresses . Newsflash wokies women's body proportions (including boobs and hips ) grow as they mature, but I guess troons that inject hormones into their body's from the age of 10 will never understand that.
