Really he's more funny as a performer than he is telling jokes. A lot of Harlands material used to mock Sam was extremely similar to the stuff MDE was making fun of in Extreme Peace, almost like he did it on purpose. I think it was a coincidence which in some ways makes it even worse. Sam handled it bad because he's paranoid about being "set up" and the fact this stuff mirrored EP talking points so clearly probably had him spooked. Sam's been ruining every podcast appearance with his paranoid preemptive strikes. It was old before the Harland stuff, now it just has to stop. How can he expect a serious interview when he's never serious?

This is not true. Sam's core audience stuck with him because of his political takes and what he was fighting for. Call it cringe if you want but politics has basic been the forefront of all of his material since World Peace.

This is the part that gets me the most, Sam made his bones post-Bernstein interview wrapping himself in so many layers of irony and absurdism that by design you couldn't take what he said seriously and pin him down in anything in an arguement.

Now when he goes on someone's show who isn't going to just suck his dick like the Nigger, he's surprised that this carefully crafted persona of a goofy guy that doesn't really believe in anything *wink*wink is getting fucked with, who could have seen this coming?

I'd say Nick didn't know how far Sam was going to go with the bit but it was still a bit. Harland is all about the absurd and subjective. If you can sit through a JRE, his episode is fucking hilarious because Toe is a moron and doesn't get the joke.

That just makes him look like he has a massive ass chip on his shoulder. Which justified or not, this comedian podcaster didn't write in to have MDE removed from Adult Swim. So saying Jew over and over and flipping a table just made him look like he didn't know what he was doing around another comedian. And it sure doesn't make people outside of MDE fans want to watch EP, so why even do the podcast circuit if he is expecting to just be Nazi interrogated? I don't buy it, he just did a bad bit that didn't land.

That's the key here. I don't think it's "so over" for him after this, comedians slip sometimes. It happens. It's just that people have to acknowledge it was a bit that didn't land and it made him look silly. Simple as.

Anyone that is a sam hyde acolyte, can you please tell me if this was scripted performance art, or did he go into this with harland being completely blind to what would happen?

At first I thought they probably had a convo, but people are spamming about how harland removed sams plugs from the video.

Im not asking whether or not they had a podcast interview you mongoloid, im wondering if this entire thing was scripted amongst the two of them, or if sam sprung it on him.
