Weird to me he's getting in on this after scalpers fucking destroyed the market for buying used ones a few years ago.

He is incapable of stopping himself from buying microtransactions, do you think that his lack of impulse control would stop at games? When you don't actually have to put in any effort to gain money he probably has an atrocious idea of value.
