Looks like it pulled over into the emergency lane on the right when the smoke cleared. It was a small plane so the debris probably wasn't heavy, cleared the fire quickly so likely didn't get anything besides light singes.

Probably had to pull over to process what just happened.

Internationally recognised... if you exclude China, India, Russia and Belarus, basically all of ASEAN, the Arabian Peninsula, in short anything that isn't the EU or the US, I suppose you could say that, yes. But even the US has this week lifted some sanctions imposed on figures close to the ruling military. More sperging on this topic here.

I hear you. I'm not sure what the disconnect is. Maybe they've simply never been exposed to violence on that level and so their brains aren't recognizing just how much peril they're in. Also, anyone know if there were houses on both sides of the street that guy was on when he had that loud breakup with his girlfriend? If so, fuck that guy for shooting at people's houses just because he has shitty taste in girlfriends.

A content creation activity that was supposed to become a digital memory ended in a heartbreaking tragedy on the edge of the tracks on the Masaran Kemiri Downstream Line, KM 246+8, in Teken Hamlet, Kaliwuluh Village, Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar, Central Java.

On Saturday evening (July 26, 2025), Miza Gani Maulana Firdaus, a 21-year-old, lost his life after being struck by a Jayakarta train traveling from Surabaya Gubeng to Pasar Senen, Jakarta.

According to information gathered, Miza, a resident of Kliwonan, Masaran, Sragen, was walking along the edge of the tracks while carrying a flag. Meanwhile, his friend, Nanang (19), was tasked with recording the action from a distance, likely to upload it to social media.

Kebakkramat Police Chief, AKP Anggoro Wahyu, representing Karanganyar Police Chief, AKBP Hadi Kristanto, confirmed the chronology of the tragic incident.

The incident occurred at around 5:23 PM WIB, and the victim died instantly at the scene.

"The victim was evacuated to Karanganyar Regional Hospital and has been handed over to his family," said AKP Anggoro.

The victim's body was reportedly thrown five meters due to the force of the impact.

Lakylia Taylor and Dejuan Taylor were in court last month for their prelims, but the hearings were adjourned because a victim in the shooting was still hospitalized and could not make it.

The backstory:

According to Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido, Dejuan was with his sister in the parking lot of a Foot Locker on Eight Mile around 2:50 p.m. May 3 when they got into an argument with another group of people that they knew. This argument turned physical, and Dejuan was taken to the ground by the other group.

Lucido said someone in the group that was fighting was armed, so Lakylia ran to get her gun. She allegedly shot at the group, killing two people and wounding another person from that group. Taylor was also wounded.

Afterward, Dejaun allegedly took a gun and some magazines that were on the ground near one of the injured people and fled with Lakylia.

Dejuan, 21, was charged with tampering with evidence, firearms larceny, carrying a concealed weapon, and larceny less than $200, while Lakylia, 19, is facing second-degree murder, felony firearms, assault with attempt to do murder, tampering with evidence, and carrying a concealed weapon charges.

"They committed a crime, and they tried to get away from the police because they're reckless."

"I want to see justice for my sister," said Kwok, who lived with May in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

"She was a free spirit person."

The Chevy, which had Wisconsin license plates, also struck a parked, empty NYPD van nearby, totaling it.

The passenger had rented the car last month but hadn't returned it when it was due on June 29, 17 days ago, sources added.

The blood-splattered driver was carried by three NYPD officers into the 5th Precinct, her body and head hung limp, pictures showed.

Her pal was escorted into the precinct in handcuffs, with blood on her grey leggings.

Both women were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they're being tested for drugs after police obtained a warrant, police sources said.

They have not been charged with any crimes.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that the man who died as a result of the officer-involved shooting that occurred on Saturday, July 5, has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner's office.
At around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, CSPD's 911 Communication Center received a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue for an individual displaying a firearm near the closing time of several downtown nightclubs. Officers investigated the report and then cleared the call.

At around 1:49 a.m., officers monitoring downtown surveillance cameras found a man who matched the suspect's description and noted he appeared to be armed. Officers arrived at the scene and attempted to contact him. As the officers approached, the suspect turned, ran, and reached toward his waistband. One officer discharged their weapon and struck the suspect.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Alex Martinez-Sarmiento, was taken into custody, and officers began life-saving measures. Despite the efforts, he was pronounced dead on scene.

A firearm was recovered on scene. No officers were injured during the incident.

Per CSPD, the officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is the lead investigative agency in this officer-involved shooting as required by Colorado law.

The investigation remains ongoing.

A 68-year-old barangay guard died after being stabbed by a man in Rodriguez, Rizal. The gruesome crime was even captured on video by the suspect who was later arrested.

In a report by Bea Pinlac on GTV News Balitanghali on Friday, the video footage shows the man adjusting the angle of his cellphone camera and then positioning himself in front of the barangay guard who was sitting outside a store in Barangay San Rafael, early Wednesday morning.

The victim had reportedly just finished drinking alcohol, and the suspect had also been drinking.

Within moments, the man suddenly jumped up while holding a bolo and started stabbing the victim. The guard was unable to free himself until he lost consciousness.

The victim was taken to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival, according to the police.

“We saw a lot of people in the neck, about six people,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Paul Sabulao, chief of the Rodriguez, Rizal Police.

With the help of witnesses in the area, the 33-year-old suspect was arrested in Barangay San Isidro.

“They say our suspect was just drunk and had been drinking when it happened. And we didn’t find any motive but he was just really high,” Sabulao said.

The suspect confessed to the crime, which he said he committed because the victim cursed and insulted him.

“He cursed at my cousin. He also insulted my eldest son. He had been drinking and then we both got into a fight outside the store. When he cursed at me,” the suspect said.

GMA Integrated News is still trying to get the side of the victim’s relatives.

The bolo and cellphone used in the crime were recovered from the crime scene.

The suspect is facing a murder charge, who is now detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police custodial facility.

A 21-year-old nursing student was crushed to death at Betul railway station in Madhya Pradesh while trying to board the moving Mysore-Jaipur Express on Sunday afternoon. A youth, who tried to save her, seeing the young woman being dragged by the moving train, was also injured in the incident, which occurred at platform number 2 around 2.18 pm.

The deceased, Amrita Nair, was a second-year nursing student in Bengaluru. She got down from the train to buy water and snacks during its brief halt at Betul. Seeing the train moving, she rushed to board the train but slipped. Eyewitnesses said Amrita got stuck between the train and the platform. She was dragged several meters before bystanders managed to pull her out.

A co-passenger, Roshan Ali, travelling in coach B3, jumped to save her but also fell and sustained injuries. Both Amrita and Roshan were rushed to the district hospital by Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.

Doctors there declared Amrita dead-on-arrival. At present, Roshan is undergoing treatment. Earlier, Amrita booked a ticket with a friend and started travelling from Mysore to Jaipur, where her family resides. Her father works in Jaipur. Railway officials reported that due to the mishap, the Mysore-Jaipur Express was halted at Betul for approximately 27 minutes. CCTV footage of the incident has been recovered and is under review.

Giving details, GRP post in-charge Ravish Yadav said, “The nursing student was travelling from Bengaluru to Jaipur in Jaipur Express. She got down in Betul to get a water bottle and other items. Meanwhile, the train started moving. While boarding the moving train, the student fell and died. While trying to save the student, a young man also fell and got injured.”

The Silverado collided head-on with a white Honda Civic traveling southbound. A Toyota Tacoma, also heading south, was unable to stop in time and crashed into the wreckage. The heart-wrenching incident, captured on a security camera, unfolded in a matter of seconds.

It was around 8.30 pm on July 22 when the child, who had accompanied her mother on a visit to a relative's flat, slipped and fell to her death. The two were preparing to leave when, in a brief moment of distraction, tragedy struck.

Police said that the woman placed the girl on a shoe rack near an open window while attending to something else.

"The child moved slightly and fell out of the window, which did not have any protective grills," news agency PTI quoted a police official as saying.

The official added that the girl died on the spot, and a case of accidental death was registered at Naigaon police station.

The apartment's CCTV footage has since surfaced on social media. In the video, the mother is seen opening the door and re-entering the flat while speaking to someone inside. The child can be seen walking over scattered footwear near the shoe rack.

Moments later, the woman comes back into view, lifts the child, and places her on top of the shoe rack while she puts on her slippers. The little girl, unaware of the danger behind her, rises from the rack and attempts to sit on the open window just behind it.

A pensioner was hit by a truck on the afternoon of July 25 on Sakriera Street in the Kirovsky microdistrict of Tiraspol, near School No. 15.

The 63-year-old driver of a ZIL truck was distracted and hit a 70-year-old woman who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. The victim was taken to the intensive care unit of the Regional Clinical Hospital. The woman died from her injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway. Evidence is being gathered to initiate criminal proceedings.


Car crashes into 15 year-old e-bike rider, driver arrested for murder - Langley, United Kingdom (2025.07.22)

A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 15-year-old boy after a crash involving an e-bike.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called out to the scene in Langley, Middleton, at around 11.55am today (July 22) where the 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. GMP are currently investigating the incident which involved a collision between a car and an e-bike.

The 59-year-old is in custody following the incident. A large cordon remains in place on Rowrah Crescent.

Officers are now working to establish the full circumstances of the incident and are investigating allegations of a theft in the events leading up to collision. Another male, also aged 15, has been arrested on suspicion of theft as part of that ongoing work by GMP.

Detective Chief Inspector Christopher Dean, from GMP’s Rochdale district, said: “This terrible incident has seen the death of a teenage boy, and we are working hard to establish the full facts of this case, in what is the very early stages of an investigation.

“A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and will be questioned in due course, while officers are already in place to support the family of the boy who has died today."


Houthis execute man convicted of murder - Sanaa, Yemen (2025.07.22)

The Public Prosecution Office of the Ad Dhale Governorate Appeal Court executed the Sharia-based retribution (qisas) sentence against convict Naseem Qaid Shaqran this morning, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, by firing squad for the murder of Captain Ahmed Mohsen Al-Qaddam. The execution was carried out in the courtyard of Sanah Central Prison, in the presence of a large number of citizens.

The death sentence was carried out pursuant to the ruling of the Qataba Primary Court, which convicted the accused and sentenced him to death by firing squad. The ruling was upheld by the Dhalea Court of Appeal and ratified by the Supreme Court of the Republic, and after approval by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council. Following the completion of the procedures, the Attorney General of the Republic, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, directed the completion of the execution procedures, which granted the victim's family their right to legal retribution against the convicted person, in compliance with the verse: "And there is life for you in retaliation, O people of understanding, that you may become righteous..."

After attempting to persuade and entice the heirs of the victim to grant them an absolute pardon or to pay blood money, they rejected this and demanded the implementation of the legal retribution sentence. The text of the ruling was read by the Qataba Public Prosecutor, Ali Nasser Al-Badawi.


Man settles 10-year feud with woman by bashing her son to death - Lucknow, India (2025.06.22)

Uttar Pradesh Police have solved a murder case of a 22-year-old coconut water seller who was beaten to death in Lucknow’s Indira Nagar. The police on Monday informed that the motive behind the murder was revenge for a 10-year-old incident involving the victim and the main accused’s mother.

According to police, the accused had been harboring a grudge against the victim, Manoj, who was from Sidhauli in Sitapur, for over a decade. The motive traces back to an incident in their former neighborhood, where Manoj and his family allegedly insulted and assaulted the accused's mother.

Although the conflict did not escalate at the time, because of Manoj’s family relocating soon after, the accused had reportedly been searching for Manoj ever since, seeking revenge.

The murder occurred on the night of June 22 [yes this is the right article the cctv date is wrong], when Manoj was returning home around 9 pm. As he passed through Shiv Bihar Colony, a group of men attacked him with an iron rod.

Police said there were no witnesses or early signs of personal enmity, which made the case a blind murder. However, a social media post led to a breakthrough.

At first, the police had no leads. Later, the CCTV footage captured a man running away from the scene wearing an orange T-shirt with the word "Devil" printed on it.

During the investigation, the police found a photo on social media from a party where one of the suspects was wearing the same T-shirt, which later helped the authorities in identifying the accused.

According to DCP East Shashank Singh, police arrested five people, including the main accused, Sonu Kashyap and his four friends - Sunny Kashyap, Ranjit Kashyap, Salamu and Rehmat Ali.

During interrogation, police revealed that after more than a decade, the accused, Sonu, discovered that Manoj was working as a coconut water vendor in the area. Determined to take revenge for the past insult to his mother, Sonu hatched a plan and enlisted the help of his friends.

The police also informed that the group planned a party prior to carrying out the attack and Sonu also promised his friends a celebration post the murder. Ironically, the group had posted photos from the event on social media which ultimately led to their arrests.

Rodolfo de Jesús Castro Guerrero, 34, popularly known as "Rodo," a DJ and organizer of private events in the city, was murdered in the El Bosque neighborhood of Cartagena.

The crime occurred on the morning of Sunday, July 20, around 6:40 a.m., in front of a well-known nightclub in the area. A security camera captured the victim's final moments, images that are now in the hands of authorities and could be key to solving the case.

The conversation, which appears to be between acquaintances, lasts only a few seconds. However, suddenly, the man in white pulls out a firearm and shoots him at point-blank range in the head. Rodolfo falls to the ground, at which point he is shot a second time before the attackers flee the scene on the motorcycle.

Authorities are analyzing the video and other recordings from the area to fully identify those responsible and obtain the vehicle's license plate.

The Cartagena Metropolitan Police confirmed that the victim had a criminal record for drug trafficking, property damage, and violating a health measure.

Ammunition depot explodes, killing 6 and injuring 140+ - Idlib, Syria (2025.07.24)

At least six people were killed and dozens injured in an explosion in northern Syria's Idlib province, officials said Thursday.

There was no official statement on the cause of the blast. The U.K.-based war monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the explosion took place in an ammunition depot.

The Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets, reported that at least six people were killed in the blast, which took place in the town of Maarat Misrin north of the city of Idlib on Thursday.

"This is the death toll only of those recovered by Syrian Civil Defense teams, who continue to search for those trapped under the rubble," the White Helmets said in a statement.

Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh in a post on social media platform X that teams were transporting the wounded and dead despite "continued recurring explosions in the area, which are hampering response efforts."

The state-run news agency, SANA, reported four people killed and 140 injured, citing health officials, without giving further details.

Syria is struggling to recover from a nearly 14-year civil war that ended with the ouster of former President Bashar Assad in a lightning rebel offensive. During the war, which killed nearly half a million people and displaced half the country's pre-war population of of 23 million, Idlib was an opposition-held enclave.

The country's current interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa formerly led Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, an insurgent group based in Idlib that spearheaded the offensive that unseated Assad.
