The real violence are words and politics. Not crazy Antifa/snowflakes who damage property and beat people up they don't like .

Probably until the tumblrinas get THEIR property damaged or stolen. Then it's time to cry, whine and set up their gofundme.

I guess even if you're a bunch of compensating white boys giving tumblr everything on a silver platter, they'll still find something to bitch about.

"I criticize media because I love it" is one of my less favorite internet phrases at this rate. When you see it, you know a bitvhy rant of the "why aren't the creators bending to ME" will follow.

The people that use the phrase the most usually aren't very good at critically analyzing anything.

Like, of course professional critics get into the field because they love the thing they're criticizing. They don't have to assure people at every turn that no, they really DO love the thing, because most of them won't just complain endlessly about how it doesn't appeal to their overly specific interests.

Yeah tumblr is the one that coined the whole "we have to analyze and criticize media under a microscope" and it's just so tiring. I miss the days when all of us whitey niggas spics and more would just switch our brains off and laugh at any stupidity on Spongebob or whatever.

But the days of not taking media seriously are over, it's too problematic to have fun.

it's a ten-second joke that doesn't have any bearing on the game, shut the fuck up red.

And it wasn't even really a joke at that.

Yes, it was funny, but it wasn't supposed to make fun of transgender people. People have complained about Link's reaction to Spoiler-chan's gender reveal, saying there was "a horrified look on his face", when that same reaction is later used again in a moment where he is surprised about something, rather than totally horrified.

Not to mention that Link has always been very dramatic, which is necessary, because he is silent and doesn't show his emotions another way, making this "horrified look on his face" even less harsh than some people make it out to be.

Also, has it never occurred to anyone that comparing men in dresses to trans women is... a little transphobic?

Oh Dozaemon, Dozaemon, Dozaemon, you STUPID BITCH!!!!! Don't you know that tumblr doesn't believe in transvestites anymore? They examine a game made by Japanese people for Japanese people, set in Japan from the lens of American LGBTQIAA+ policy. Japan doesn't have years and years of a very complicated relationship with men in women's clothing, you're making that up. A man in woman's clothing is a woman in woman's clothing that has a woman penis unless she doesn't, DOZAEMON, and anything else is transphobic and will immediately cause a perfectly justified and rational emotional breakdown. Possibly some property destruction, depending on how close to a college campus we are.
