Default judgements are trivially easy to avoid. You avoid them by showing up in court and doing what the judge tells you to do.

This particular default judgement was huge because Jones had accumulated years of ill will with this particular judge across multiple lawsuits by acting like a massive faggot during discovery. The list of things he did in the judgement is downright embarrassing to read. So what the judge basically ruled, "I am sick seeing your stupid face and dealing with these stupid antics. How much money do I need to fine you to end your business make sure I never have to see you again? Oh, it's almost a billion dollars? Well fine, you owe a billion. Now fuck off."

Jones has subsequently lost all his appeals because it's a default judgement, so the only real question is, "Did you actually show up and do as you're told, the trivially easy thing you needed to do in order to avoid this fine? No, you didn't? Well, sorry, pal."
Alex jones is a bit of a dickhead, and often acted like rules didn't apply to him and thought it was a good idea to shit on the judge in his case. That's never a smart play. That said, dude doesn't deserve a 1.5 billion dollar settlement placed on him.
Can either of you actually tell me what Alex Jones' crimes actually were? He said an opinion that pissed off the elites and for that he deserves to have his life ruined and you are in support of Jones having his life ruined by the elite because you think he was a dick to said elites? Everything you are saying can apply to Donald Trump when he was getting reamed in court too.

It isn't, not for cases of this magnitude. You know where it's really common? Divorce court. And you know what happens when retards pull this shit in divorce court? The judges absolutely fuckin' rape them. I will bet the vast majority of divorcees in the manosphere whining about "divorce rape" lied in court, didn't show up for hearings, didn't obey court orders, didn't supply requested documents, etc.

almost every time

it's really infuriating because family court is horrifically unjust and needs to be reformed but the majority of the people complaining the loudest did 90% of what happened to them to themselves

a very typical situation is you have two retards but one is crazy/abusive. the first retard thinks they can vibe their way through the case because the bitch is obviously crazy/the fucker is obviously abusive. and that's true! but family court is in fact not reddit and you can't just post your way into consensus. So the crazy bitch or the horrible man gets the kids and terrible things ensue which all could have been avoided if the first retard had followed the rules.

No but fun fact, a lot of websites block access from free VPNs because of jeets and other third world subhumans abusing them.
If India and the UK were banned from the Internet, a lot of problems would go away.

The antics of India and, to a lesser extent, the rest of the third world will be the ultimate reason for the Internet splitting apart.

When the woman that won the Nobel Peace prize dedicated the award to Trump, the media dropped the story faster than Kamala's panties at a Democratic fund raiser.

How does one "abuse" using a VPN? I think a VPN is something that everyone has the right to use however they want, whenever they want, and how often they want to.

Post in thread 'HAM Radio'

This thread is dedicated to the discussion of HAM and amateur radio related topics. This thread can also be a place to discuss alternative communication technologies such as LoRA, Meshtastic, Satellite communications (Iridium, QO-100), and CB.

Why would anyone be interested in this?

Radio lets you communicate anywhere on earth across distances of thousands of miles without any infrastructure. It is the ultimate form of peer to peer communication. There are many things to do in this hobby from listening to number stations to bouncing signals off the moon and back. Packet radio lets you send data over the air. Digital modes like JS8call can get your signal from New York to Tokyo with 5 watts of power. Some people build and launch picoballoons with radio repeaters strapped to them that circumnavigate the globe.

Should the Internet ever go down or become a dystopian nightmare, HAM will always be there. It's a vital tool and a fun hobby.

Useful info
Want to get started listening to signals from around the world? WebSDR and KiwiSDR are two websites that provide a browser controlled receiver.

A device like the RTL-SDR is a radio receiver you can plug into your computer. If you are intersted in getting started with the hobby, I would recommend buying one of these. They can be purchased for $20 online and let you view the entire signal spectrum from HF to 2.4 GHz

Should I get a license?
That is entirely up to you. If you are from the United States the process of getting a license is easy and straightforward. The main drawback is when you get a license, you are entered into a callsign database on the FCC's website which is publically searchable. This could potentially let anyone who knows your callsign find your name and address.

Recommended radios:
HF:

Best for budget: Xiegu G90 ($390)
When you want to upgrade: ICOM 7300 for a base station, Yaesu FT-891 for portable ops

VHF/UHF:
Handheld: TYT TH-UV88 ($30)
Base station: AnyTone AT-778UV ($130)
If you are looking to get into the 2m side of things I would recommend getting a base station before a HT first. Repeaters can be hard to hit sometimes with low power and having a base station with more transmit power can make a significant difference.

HAM related lolcows and liddery:
HAM has it's fair share of lolcows who go by the term lids. While many may think of the hobby as elderly boomers tapping away at a morse key HAM is home to some of the biggest flamewars.
Todd Daughtery, N9OGL is our resident HAM lolcow. Arrested twice for terrorism and child pornography. Being that HAM is the Proto-Internet, it attracts autists of many varieties. Another HAMcow is Karol Madera, VE7KFM.
