Mega Rad Gun Thread

Anyone here used ASC or E-Lander 6 ARC mags? If so, what are your thoughts?
ASC works great, along with the duramags, although for 6.5 grendel in my experience with the 20 round versions. i've only ever used e-lander in 5.56/.223 and they work very well too but can have follower tilt issues (at least on the old ones i had years back) so i used magpul followers with them.

here is that p90 vid I posted earlier

Anyone running a super safety with a AR 22lr conversion bolt? I was wondering what I needed to get it running, I see some trip kits, and 3dp versions. I was not sure if I need to add weight to the bolt or if just a trip kit is enough.

What is so bad about open carry? Is it this idea that you'll be targeted first if the balloon goes up?

Maybe if your cause and effect is reversed, a potential spree shooter would see someone open carrying and decide not to.

It's a great way to avoid the PTSD of worrying that you could've saved more people, because the spree killer will probably make the tactically (albeit not ethically) sound decision to shoot you first.

Personally, I hate the idea of having to deal with cops every time some pearl clutcher sees my gun, panicks and calls in a man with a gun when I'm just trying to run errands. I've been able to comfortably carry AIWB in the spring/summer, and OWB covered with a hoodie in the fall/winter for my entire adult life. Only time I open carry is on my property or at the range. I fully support anyone who wants to open carry, I just personally don't want to deal with the potential headaches.

You will draw attention, you will be scrutinized and criminals may determine they can disarm you(there's a few videos of this).
This does depend on location but it's not a commonly accepted method of carry.

You should want to be the gray man nobody notices, not that guy with the gun on his hip.

don't live around karens. I open carry 90% of the time and no one has ever noticed (or if they did they didn't say anything) except 1 guy at wal-mart who wanted to know what kind of pistol i had.

Mainly I've seen videos of guys open carrying getting their guns stolen right out the holster while they're distracted. But that also makes the case for having a proper retention holster too.

I really wish that Heckler & Koch would bring the HK-433 to the US civilian market. I like it a lot more than the HK-416.
Heckler and Koch in Germany is subject to German export laws and the HK-433 falls under the same law as the MP7. I think there is something about the Brundswehr funding it and it makes it harder to make a civilian variant for export. I may be wrong though.

I saw the full surveillance footage too. Guy was stunned and didn't know what to do, tried getting his weapon back and was shot. More reason to not open carry and just conceal it.

It's a black hole, you can print everything you need (except some weights, you can pick up correct sized rods and cut them down at a hardware store). some people don't need the weights, most need at least some of them.
Good luck, expect to have to tune a lot.
I might have links for the 2 things you need to print, let me see if I can dig them up

Guys, they are doing it...

I'm gonna be fuckin cleaned out...

I already have the 635 tho so I have to.

A better question is why would you want anyone to know you have a gun? A spree shooter is going to cap you first instantly because he knows you have a gun.

what you really say is you privately sold it. private sales are not tracked so impossible to trace.
that doesn't stop anything. you will be interviewed for who you sold it to via deposition (lying is obstruction), and the court typically will err on allowing a warrant for searching your property because you are the last documented owner of the gun. feel free to fight it, but that isn't an argument against a search since if you truly don't have it and the police are wrong they will not find it and will go away after hassling you, and then watching you for a while afterwards. the expansion of police powers allows domestic investigation that wasn't a thing two decades ago. it largely depends on political will (a DA trying to re-election) or budget (use it or lose it for intelligence gathering equipment/funds) or a combination thereof.
