There are seven units on each floor of 303 E Elmwood. From the angle of the picture taken it's probable that he lives somewhere on third floor. From the angles of the interior shots from
this website, we can gain a little more insight into the building's layout. From the shots included on the website, we can see that Unit 305's balcony faces west, towards the grey-roofed building next door. Using an aerial shot and the alignment of the gables, I laid out what I view as a probable floor plan for E Elmwood:
The three units labelled "S" are possible places that Shad is. 305 is a possibility, since part of that unit also faces north, towards the Cartoon Network building. The apartment also became unavailable in September, approximately when the building came off the open market. Even so, this cannot be confirmed to be his unit number.
It's also difficult to tell whether the building counts up or down. I'm wondering if it's a safe assumption that Unit 301 would be the one closest to the main entrance on the south side of the building. It would be logical, but there's no evidence to base that on. If that's true, it would have to be the unit on the south east since unit 305 HAS to be on the west side of the building. Based on that logic, we get the following updated (and extremely speculative) layout:
EDIT: There is some evidence that Shad may not live in the particular unit I identified after all. In the interest of a potential innocent party's privacy, I have removed that speculation. I will keep the layout up, however.
