Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Can anyone explain the $50 refund? Am I missing something obvious?

I'd like to imagine a former supporter demanding their money back. I would guess, however, that a refund might reflect an adjustment for an accidental double charge.

No clue, there's no $50 disbursement listed. When the CSV file comes out I'll check if there are any wonky $50 discrepancies in the contribution subtotals.

Another amusing slip-up: they list the $2250 reimbursement to Frank for the NGP VAN software as "Reimbursement to F. Wu for payment related to campaign ad video production". It's very obvious that they just say "Video production" whenever they want an all-purpose excuse, and filled it in on autopilot here.

Wow, sounds like it's as shitty as "My Dinner With Andre", better destroy all copies and erase it from history

It would also kind of explain why Brianna is so opposed to reading anything.

It's just another one of those things that makes me wish we had more records and accounts of John's early life. Brianna is fairly consistent with the story that he went to a private school and that it was apparently "segregated" in some way. John's most frequently repeated lies tend to have at least a kernel of truth to them ("software engineer" = went to school for engineering before dropping out, etc.). Is it possible that the "segregation" he goes on about is that it was a school for kids with learning disabilities?

I think she only attended private school until high school (if ever). Remember her stories about spearheading an effort to bring prayer to her school when she was 14? Chances are that was public.

I think she attended Hattiesburg High. This took no effort to find.

Edit: wait, is this new? Do we know anything about her former partners from before she made up Lauren MiLovy? https://corp.sos.ms.gov/corpconv/po...FilingId=656a79b3-fb76-4052-aa19-7951db0f7120

And. . . confirmed. At least he's getting fewer people taking his bait.
- For the "candidate training" sessions in Massachusetts, John booked single-night stays at hotels in Worcester and Marlborough, which are about 45 and 30 miles from Arlington. (I forget where they live now but it's around there, right?) Why didn't John just commute there in his hot rod rather than spending all that money? I mean, he totally has a driver's license so there's nothing stopping him, right?
Maybe part of why Frank is even bothering with this shit is that it gives him a break from John.

No, we won't, because people who screech about this bullshittery don't watch the show, so fuck off.

Brianna obviously doesn't watch Doctor Who because no one who does would call the titular character "Doctor Who," he's "The Doctor."

Also a woman would be fine, he's a fucking timelord and the precedent was set with the master. But people like Wu only care about virtue signaling and not nerdy children's shows from the 60s.

Sarcasm bro I love that movie
I saw War for the Planet of the Apes today. In the first 10 minutes of the movie, there's a captured female soldier who speaks to another soldier.

EDIT: Also, mute people apparently don't count as well-rounded characters in John's eyes. Shut the fuck up, John.

Even people who don't watch it know this is the number one thing Doctor Who spergs sperg the fuck out about when people do it. I guess nobody mansplained that to him.

Edit 2: She actually gave a bunch of money Runaway Pen Productions to make some sort of commercial video.... OMG, did she pay to get the godzilla video produced..... The dates would make sense...

Runaway Pen Productions is one of Frank's buddies.

Scroll down and he talks about how him and Frank are friends. Looks like he's a failed filmmaker who Frank threw a bone to likely because the Godzilla of Tech couldn't make a high school AV club level video. His twitter confirms it with the "filmmaker turned stay-at-home dad". Code for unemployed.

Edit: OMG, she actually paid for her trip to alfconf from campaign funds, calling it a "fundraising trip." This is a blatant fucking scam.

How much?

One thing I noticed is the notes on the disbursements are getting vaguer each cycle. Just listing "Amazon" and marking it as equipment for a video doesn't mean much. Looks to me like someone is just using campaign funds for their daily shopping needs. At least paying for her vacation to California is transparent.

Is there any detail on what Frank was paid for? Just says reimbursement but I don't see Frank as having loaned a lot of money to the campaign. Couldn't they just cut Frank a check for a few grand each quarter and claim he bought a bunch of supplies on his own credit card?

Also holy fuck that website they use for campaign donations is expensive. Why wouldn't the Godzilla of Tech just build her own?

Last time around, Frank bought a bunch of stuff for the campaign on his personal credit card, and then the campaign cut him a check for the exact amount he spent. It's most likely the same thing this time around, but I haven't done the numbers yet. By all indications, there's no funny business going on, no one's siphoning cash directly out of the campaign.
