I feel like this used to be an issue early on with social media networks as well too (Facebook, etc) where they would count a view for simply loading the content on the page, which then caused issues with advertisers who were paying based on these massively inflated numbers. This resulted in making a distinction between an impression (how often the content is displayed) vs. views (how often the content is actively engaged with). I think Rumble leans more into impressions to inflate their numbers, as auto-playing content on the front page doesn't mean the user is actively engaged with the content. The user may be spending a few seconds to scroll down the page and view the content options for different categories, or the user may be typing into the search bar to find a specific channel. In both cases, the user has the video auto-playing while they are performing different actions and not even looking at that part of the page, so it really shouldn't be counted towards views.Hmmm, really makes you think. IMO this pretty much confirms my old theory the front page feature on Rumble counts every hit to the homepage as a viewer (amongst other fuckery with the numbers).
I cannot stress enough how true this point is. I had never actually watched a Jer stream from start to finish until I watched his "scorched earth" stream, which was a total scam. But having sat through the entire stream, you truly appreciate just how painful it is to clip his content, because his "political analysis" amounts to:To really understand the totality of this shitshow you need to experience it.
"I think X but also I am not an expert, so maybe Y. I don't know what right answer is."
I get stun locked by just how fucking retarded he is, and how he can say so many words without saying anything of value at all. I also love that Jer loves to mock jeets while everything he does is jeet-coded:
- Public shitting
- Sex pesty
- Using AI as part of stealing other people's content
- Utilizing nuclear options (channel/video takedowns) as an attempt to restore his lost Izzat
- Talking without saying nothing of value, much like the Indian food stall videos where they do all these extravagant and fast motions just to throw together slop
