I think I understand the vision, I explained it on this post, regardless I don't like the pickup but I'm a least glad we got him on the vet minimum. After how Kirko fleeced us I'd blow my brains out if we overpaid for a washed QB again
I can understand the move for Kirko Chains. Falcons have good skill position players, his ACL injury shouldn't have really affected his game that much. But oops he's washed.

Kirko couldn't move fast enough to hand the ball off to the right and was even slower to the left.
Kirko's real talent is his generational bag acquiring ability, only Stafford and Rogers made more money than him (Yes, he's made more money than Brady)

Brady played a majority of his career before QB contracts really exploded. He also was never know for taking top dollar. Hence why his team usually had enough talent to succeed every year.

It really is shocking that a decade ago QBs like him and Peyton Manning weren't even making $20 million a season. A QB would laugh at the salary in today's league.

Brady never made the most because his ex-wife was always making more than him. Most players are trying to cash in on their once in a lifetime opportunity to support their family. I can't blame players for trying to get all they can to support their family for the next 50 years. Brady had a unique advantage by having a spouse make more than him which took the pressure off him.

The Jags looked like a way more complete team by the end of the season, absolutely pantsed the #2 AFC team in their own stadium, at elevation, and don't have a gigantic question mark looming over their franchise QB's head.
Sure, Trevor Lawrence is this generation's Dalton Line QB, where he sets the level of play where being worse means the team needs to keep looking for a long-term solution, but he didn't singlehandedly cost his defense a playoff run unlike SOMEBODY taking snaps in Houston.
One good season since TLAW got that extension. Sorry but I'm not buying the Jags hype whatsoever. I'm still under the belief that Jacksonville fucked up by not keeping Mac Jones for one more year. That being said, either the Colts and Texans are going to take the AFC South.

NFC South market resident here. It'll be Bucs or Saints with a .500ish record. A true battle for the bottom as usual. I think the real question is who will have the worst record in the NFC East. I'm going Giants.
It has to be the bucks. Tyler shough turned into a decent QB in the end. Carolina is starting to piece things together. Atlanta is rebuilding with some interesting pieces. Meanwhile, Tampa is keeping Bowles and shit fell apart at numerous points last season. Expecting Tampa to look like last seasons Bengals.

The Rashee Rice saga continues

I understand your point but it's also worth noting Brady played most of his game during a different time where salaries were much smaller. The modern day run of the mill WR is getting paid more than guys like Randy Moss or Cris Carter ever did, for example. You can apply this to every position

Also per, Farabaugh Aaron Rodgers is retiring after this season, he outright said this is his last. Probably a duh moment but this is the first time he's said it frankly. If he wasn't playing for the Steelers again he probably would have retired last year honestly.

End of an era if he sticks with it. He's the last man standing of the really insane QBs from that generation. He might be the most talented ball thrower the league has ever seen.
It's kind of a year too late though, in some ways. Not his skill (I watched this man chuck a 70 yard hail mary in the unc bowl and the only reason it didn't complete is because DK Metcalf both has the looks like Tarzan/plays like Jane problem AND stone hands) but last season the Steelers played both the NFC North AND the AFC East. This season he's playing the AFC/NFC south. Who cares. No history with any of those teams, not really.
