I think this was probably the best move for Amberlynn, because she is very popular and most of the people who follow her don't care about the rest of the site. Why not move her to a containment zone?

As for the other users mentioned as getting this treatment in the future, I think almost certainly DSP would warrant it, probably more than AL, even. From what I'm told, there's a whole universe of DSP lovers and haters, and all the threads for DSP-related cows could go into a DSP subforum.

The issue with DSP is that (:optimistic:) I see all of that coming to a close soon.

Because it's not going to be clear to a lot of people that that's what it is, and instead they are going to see an extremely poor quality thread getting it's own subforum and people acting like complete tards there with impunity, which creates a really bad impression and actively encourages people to act that way over cult cows and be "rewarded" with their own subforum.

If they're dumb enough to see it as a reward when the lack of rules makes it open season on all the people who post in the sub, giving say, @Sleep and @Dynastia, for instance, carte blanche to dox everyone in it, then that's their problem. I'm just glad that it's no longer my problem.

Don't get me wrong; when you frame it that way, I'm happy to hear that the Beauty Parlour posters who don't have any clue what site they are on will finally stop being protected and having their hands held.

I still don't really like the message this sends. Superficially, it appears to be an endorsement (I understand that it isn't, but many will take it as such).

And those posters have gone from getting one form of special treatment to another: from being coddled to being enabled to do whatever they want. But I guess what you're saying is that instead of heavily moderating them, you're just going to throw them to the wolves...hopefully that will (somewhat ironically) end up being more effective than previous efforts to curb this nonsense, but I'm not :optimistic:.

They are getting what they want. In the worst way possible. Let's see if they still enjoy it.

The moderation and Dyn's punshments have been fantastic, but annoying for them all, I'm sure.

It's starting to happen elsewhere too. Russell's thread is getting people whose usernames and avatars are about him, people are joining for just that thread and posting first day about trolling him or asking questions that have been discussed as well as a-logging. I can see it going down the same road.

Nobody reads, not the threads they are supposedly interested in, and not the rules.

I'm not sure this is the answer-do you want people to learn to integrate into the Farms, or create their own culture that will inevitably bleed out? I just don't know what the answer is...
