People have been suggesting that he just do it on Twitch, it's actually been suggested for several weeks now.

Of course Phil isn't gonna do shit about it, because he will have some excuse of why he can't.

I'd point out that Phil spends about 30-60 minutes a day rambling about shit in his prestream that no one except "da detractors" gives two fucks about, and he could probably fit a review in there, but that would mean I actually expect Phil to ever change anything about what he does.

He may as well just throw his video games out the window, cancel his Comcast and start using a fucking typewriter.

Agreed on the Leanna/Nympho observation. I really doubt she was an actual nymphomaniac, otherwise given the lifestyle in Phil's house (i.e. stay indoors every fucking day of the year) I can't see how on Earth she would take an office job and expose herself to the outside world.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure without checking that she wrote the nympho shit when she was like 12 (I actually checked and it was at about age 16, so who gives a fuck)

This says a lot considering what he said in the pre stream yesterday.
"We still have two weeks to it the goal. I know we can do it. If you can than please give to my patreon. Etc. Etc."
Sooner or later his patreons will get tired of the constant begging. (some of them already left)
If he didn't constantly beg his fans for tips and cheers they'd probably support his patreon more.
It'd be so simple to fix, halfway through the month he could say he'd rather have them give to his patreon than cheering. But has shown not too ong ago by you, he can't adapt and run a business. If I was him I'd start streaming 2 hours before he does and completely drop the evening stream.

Wonder what happens if Oct 31 arrives and he missed the Patreon goal for Halloween twice.
No costume even he loves those because inner child is strong in a man-child.
No playing horror games, instead focusing on continuing another game.
Mentioning Halloween and why there is no Halloween event in the stream gets you insta-banned, followed by a long rant about the money he didn't make. Because he loves Halloween so much that he has put the event twice behind a paywall and is going to miss that goal for a second time. Like that's nothing that could piss people off, paying twice for something they don't get.

Wait, we're not already there!? I shudder to think what 11 looks like. Seriously though, he's not gonna accept a continually declining Patreon, regardless of how much he gets in cheers & tips. I can't think of anything he might possibly say to keep people pledging there. Shoutouts are rendered moot by Twitch cheering, he's shown that Patreon's choice is totally rigged & he answers questions immediately for a fraction of the price on stream. He's got no carrots to dangle.

So DSP is still at $850 range on patreon. How low is it going to drop when the charge happens and some cards decline again? I'm guessing it'll be around $790 range

Missing the goal for a second time in a row will result in a massive guilt-tripping, because you cannot be his fan when you deny him his money, that is his philosophy. As an immediate action (nothing that actually provides a solution to his mess) he will punish the viewers with the second or third stream of a current game he plays being a total bore-fest, like being extra boring and unwilling to do some entertaining commentary. He did that in the past because he isn't professional enough to swallow his anger and pride and so his business model has to suffer from it.

An Emergency Video is possible, but he would not address the Patreon situation directly, instead he will come up with some other reason (= lie) to make a video and then mentions Patreon.

Of course there won't be any changes. Phil will insult the patrons and maybe lose one or two, or he will blame Patreon with their bullshit algorithm, the detractors or simply people because they don't like Halloween anymore. At no point will he make a change or come up with a better solution, instead he will cycle through three or four variations of Patreon goals and that's it. Also if people in the schtream chat are giving advice he will tell them that they don't know how to ruin a business like he does, with his 8 years of legacy.

From what I've seen his Patreon drops less than $100 during the first day of each month. You can probably get a good estimate of the max declined pledges looking at the drop during the first day (they start trying to charge cards immediately at midnight on the first of the month and if a card is declined my understanding is that the failed charge immediately changes the public number.) Some of those even get fixed in the next few days as Patreon tried again so his whining about declined pledges is pretty over the top.

EDIT: I'm just eyeballing it atm but I had him pegged at $80 under the goal for July not taking into account declined pledges. It looks like he had about $55 in declined pledges. That's $135, not exactly in line with the claim he made that he was like $170/160 under. Maybe it's the eyeballing though.

There's still two weeks left and the last week is always full of last minute big pledges when phil kicks into maximum overbeg, no way of knowing just how much vidar & friends are gonna step up for their man candy.
So I think it will reach a round thousand at least before the month is over, then drop to the lower 900s. It's been a steady decrease but I'd be surprised if it hanged at 850 until october.

I'm pretty sure some of the SOK supported his patreon. With them disbanded it should drop even lower. He might just make up some BS and claim the 850 front facing number is actually wrong and it's at 1250. I think it could also be lower because some people support him with tips and bits and no longer need to do Patreon.

Last time he was bitching about it and saying that supporting his Patreon and Twitch were two separate things and the chat didn't react well.

I'm hoping he keeps pushing the issue and ends up fucking himself over, so we can at least point to DSP and say "hey, look at that goutburger, if you do what he did, bad things will happen to you!"

But we all know, deep down inside, that Phil will survive nothing short of a nuclear holocaust (which even a cockroach can supposedly survive)
