It's kind of a running joke on places like /co/ that during the 60s and 70s, he used to fuck the wives of all his employees but mostly Jack Kirby who died an angry sad penniless bastard despite being equally as responsible for Marvel as Stan. Just a bullshit thing people ran with as a joke.

Alright, so it seems to me that Vox Day is going to be the 1st person to be kicked out of the #Comicsgate movement, Ethan van Sciver rebuked him a couple of days ago, D&C called his AltHero project "r.etarded".

And now Capt Cummings has a video out on him as well:


So is Vox Day the Vordrak of #Comicsgate ?

Some people are speculating based on Marvel's press release that this is an attempt to blackmail him.

U personally can't wait for the inevitable pieces by The Mary Sue about how his old stories are now problematic.

Anyway, the man lost his wife last year. He's already got enough grief on his mind.

IIRC, the company and the nurses employed by the company accused him a while after he hired another company for in-home care. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was an attempt to bully some sort of settlement out of Lee, especially with the listen and believe crowd screaming like banshees.

It's actually a valid complaint, to some extent. Comics have been notoriously crap at women characters. This probably has something to do with being written mainly by autistic men for autistic children and autistic manchildren.

It may be a valid complaint. However, their solution (which is women characters can only be written by women, are not allowed any flaws, and have to be drawn like the male characters) is just wrong. Their solution makes the women characters even worse.

Sorry for the double post! @neural the video below sums up much of the early goings on. D&C says that Susan Auger (unsure about spelling) doxed him, spurred on by Heather Antos. Apparently, Heather Antos accused him of participating in the Charlottesville March (even though he didn’t), which got Auger into such a tizzy that she decided to try to get D&C fired, among other things. I can’t find the video where he specifies that dynamic at the moment. He has several, more detailed videos about each of the points he goes over in the embedded video. Since he has so many videos, I’m having trouble finding all the videos that discuss the specifics of each event. If you think so, it may be worth adding Susan Auger’s role to the OP.

Even though he only discusses comic book movies (not comics), he actually claims that the comic pros should be going after him because he’s such a big deal.
