Fallout Equestria, by Kkat / Kkatman - fascist sex horses and the insane fanfic writers powering their existance

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm having trouble merging this thread with the one on the author of the spinoff* that was made while this one was inactive.
https://kiwifarms.net/threads/david-bushey-somber-pony.31259/

Moved this one to Animal Control though, to be with the other Brony threads.

*Originally thought Somber was the author of FOE, but he wasn't. Kkat was. Somber is just a writer of a fanfic of a fanfic.

According to this source, around half a year ago. August 27.
Sucks Project AFTER went down. They had some good riffs on fan-fics such as A-Log's crappy self-insert wish fulfillment and they even pissed off a lol-cow by the name of Dakari King Mykan. Shame their riff on Fallout Equestria is also gone unless someone kept a backup of it.

I bet the edgelord who wrote this fic only played 3, since that one installment brought a lot of edgelords into the Fallout fanbase with its unrelenting grimdark grimdarkness.
No shit, it doesn't help if you wanna be associated with the original Fallout games but have to be exposed to ridiculous crossovers such as this. One time, I went looking for a Fallout 2 walkthrough guide and the video in question was a modded Fallout 2 version where the player character was a Pony, at first I didn't really care since it's normal for Bronies to push their existence into every little thing imaginable but I later found out how autistically obsessed they are with Fallout.

I feel like I might already know the answer to this question, but does anyone actually read this awful stuff for longer than 4 or 5 chapters before giving up? If what you guys are saying is true and this fanfic has over 1.2 million words that would put it pretty far up there with the longest books ever written. I don't understand who would have the time or the dedication to sit down and read something like this start to finish. (I know, I know, :autism:.)

If someone was around when this story was actively being written and new chapters were coming out every so often I could see them ultimately following along over a substantial period of time, but now that everything is done I can't see the prospective time commitment being anything other than daunting.

Don't worry, you can choose between (at least) two different audiobook versions and enjoy the delightful adventure while you jog or work! (:optimistic:)
Let's make a calculation: 83 chapters or so, each takes approximately 2 hours, so it takes only 170 hours to listen to the entire book. Which is like a week non-stop.

wow

This is autistic and all that, but you haven't been alive until you've seen the even more niche SONIC CROSSOVER of Fallout... Imagine a deathclaw with tits.

EDIT: Don't know if I already said something about that in this thread, but, good to have a "reminder" of fucked up shit right?

Links plz.

I "listened" to a couple of chapters of Project Horizons (skipped quite a bit), it seems to be pretty much a ripoff of the original. EDGY sex and violence, pastel ponies blasting each other with shotguns, and a first-person narrative that blabs about game mechanics in person.

Only 176 hours left, apparently.

Are they still trying to make that game? Aka: the biggest waste of time and effort ever? I mean just to be fair if they wanted to make a fallout type game they should have kept it to the style of the first two fallouts. Probably simpler to make, less resources needed.

hell, just mod Fallout 3, would literally be easier than to make your own game in the Unity engine. considering that's esentially what they're trying to do with how their "game" looks

I don't know the first thing about development in either Unity or Gamebryo, but I figure Unity would be easier just because the latter (and Fallout 3 in itself) is so incredibly unstable that making a proper, functioning game/mod out of it would be like pulling teeth.

That's completely ignoring quality, of course. It's going to be shitty regardless of what route the would-be developers take.
