A lot of Tumblr users already struggle with suicidal thoughts, and many of them are minors. So stuff like "kill yourself" is frowned upon, being viewed as legitimately hurtful. There are many different alternatives that are used:
  • pee your pants
  • delete your account
  • cancel your internet subscription
  • log off
  • turn off your computer
  • yiff yourself
and these are just some of them! They tend to range from humorous and creative to stupid and cringeworthy.

The real reason they use those euphemisms is so they can tell someone "kill yourself" but not have any of the accountability that comes with doing so, since doing that is usually grounds for an account suspension. They aren't being cute or considerate to people with legitimate mental health issues.

Eh, depends on the user. Tumblr is like any website, some users are good, some are dickheads. All of them have a poor choice in social media, though, me included.

But some genuinely do use it due to their own "morality" or "ethics" rather than just to avoid banning. Because trust me, a ton of users say "kill yourself" with no punishment. Tumblr staff is inept.

Jasonafex/Kabier4's podcast "cuckshack" had on as a guest that shiba inu furry youtuber @yourpalrags whose claim to fame is getting banned from twitter for saying "nigger". Note jasonafex blames those dirty dang SJWs for rag's banishment from the platform.
