First of all, very cool, you don't see a lot of FtM characters.

I don't see her as the type to have ninja skills either. If you wanted to stick to the "scent attack" theme you could make her a chemical weapons expert. (Tear gas, gas masks, etc.)

Oh my goddddd I hadn't even considered that. Megagi does look a lot like those... punk rock types who would wear gas masks and stuff, or like... Tank Girl. Idk. But I like that angle.

Well, with the "smoke bomb attack" in mind, I looked this up on the super powers wiki. Maybe instead of strictly a smoke bomb, you could take it a step further in what Megagi can do with it? I rather like the hallucinations myself. (Though that doesn't mean you have to follow it to a tee. I thought it gave some good ideas.)

The idea of a chemically based weapons expert really intrigued me, and I ran with the idea a little bit... I think I even managed to breathe some more personality into him than originally anticipated. Any thoughts?

A really interesting angle to take Megagi in, I guess the military aspects do make sense, since Chris described her as basically like an Army Soldier, but I always felt like he didn't put much thought into that comparison and just compared her to one because that was the strictest kind of person he could think of.

But yeah, looks really cool! The ninja idea did seem pretty cool, but I'm not sure if it'd be that fitting coming from that design, the "chemical warfare" expert angle feels like a better approach. Still, I guess you could always save the ninja idea for another character...maybe Silvana?
 
Silvana needs to be some kind of Mata Hari character. Remember that a lot of her repertoire was supposed to include shapeshifting as one of her party pieces; "ninja" is too identifying. I get more of a spy vibe from a purpose-built assassin thing...then again, real ninja used to do anything they could to get near targets, including disguises and even dressing in drag, so what do I know...

Megagi's direction is a good one to go in from my point of view. There's a good difference between "cloak and dagger spy in the shadows" and "I am a classic ninja, I can dodge raindrops with my magic shinobi whatzits."

Thank you guys for your compliments. :) I've really been struggling to think of how I could fit Silvana in, I think she's been one of the only characters other than Meg-Chan (read: Megan Shroder already has enough SEO dedicated to her name because of Chris) that I've really debated putting in at all, even as a brief cameo. The problem is that she was a very, very forced and one dimensional third act villain... even for Chris's work. But those are both pretty good ideas, especially the Mata Hari type of character.

I think the one group of characters that suffered the most from the original comic are all the villains. I've essentially gutted out all the villains that were references (*cough*stolen*cough*) from other works and severely downplayed all the villains that served as ego stroking for Chris (like the trolls and "I'm the exact opposite of him so I'm not gay" Naitsirch) for the sake of a more focused narrative. An ultimate showdown with Count Graduon, and a lesser showdown with Mary Lee Walsh before Chris regains the full extent of his powers back. I suppose, maybe, I could just make her a lesser minion of Graduon.
 
This sounds pretty cool! If you're still looking for ideas, I have a couple.

When Punchy was holding the martial arts classes he still had a bit of the hero from his past life in him. One day, he saw some jerkops harassing some innocent people. He managed to rescue them from the jerkops, but was later caught and charged with assault on law enforcement officials. His punishment was having his business license revoked and being declawed (or whatever those little spikes on the back of his hands are).
This sent him into the spiral of depression and drug abuse that lead him to his job at the factory. Seeing his drug-fueled dreams of a world in which he is a hero start coming to life brings back some of his old self.
Maybe Layla can design some retractable claws he can wear.
Popular culture seems to have a lot of people thinking of angels as thin, wispy people in robes or little babies with wings, but in the bible they're shown to be quite dangerous (for example, 2 Kings 19:35 tells of 1 angel killing 185,000 soldiers). So I figure you could go with a 'tough old soldier' concept:
Leather armor (not the "sexy" stuff from video games/cartoons, but old Greek/Roman style), shield and a sword. Both she and her gear scarred from frequent fights but still kept in good condition.

Background:
Angelica grew up as an orphan on the outskirts of town, surviving mainly thanks to a local church that helps many of those abused and tossed aside by the world. She heard the many, many tales of horror from those seeking asylum in the church, and decided to take matters into her own hands...

I mean, I guess I'm not launching the comic until February but... you know... Everyone seems to be enjoying the concepts so I feel a little bad.

I like your ideas for Punchy, especially the removable claws idea. That would definitely give him and Layla an actual chance to bond, as well as give Layla more screen time in general. I like your ideas for Angelica, but I do think I'm going in a slightly different direction with her... So far, each issue (kind of) has a theme of tackling something Chris would have been proud of, but turned it on it's head as a kind of metaphor for how it's affecting his long term success (and ergo, the long time survival of his creations). Like #1 takes on his musical stylings and taste, #2 is all about hyper-consumerism... especially of children's playthings, and #3 has a fully featured parody of a Zelda game to showcase how you ACTUALLY parody. As #5 and #7 both start diving really deep into intimate things about Chris's personality (like his own creations and his personal attitude towards the real world around him) I was almost thinking that #4, since Angelica's only character trait was being an annoying Christian, having an issue dedicated to not only Chris's views of religion but possibly just a commentary on the fallacies of religion in general.

My only idea so far was, kind of like your idea, they figure out she's at some church on the edge of town or out in the countryside of CWCville, but she refuses to leave and come with them for X reason (X reason being anything from: church is brainwashing it's followers, church is run by Jerkops, the church believes the actual apocalypse happened when in reality it was just a hostile takeover, etc). I don't want to make it TOO anti-religion but... on the other hand I am a pretty staunch atheist and feel like it's kind of a statement I have to make. Idk.

As for the brainwashing, I think that could work out without being overly negative. Like, perhaps they really are doing some good but the way they keep followers in line is... less-than-savory. Or at least there's a good side to it BUT the bad side of it makes it a little ambiguous as to which it really is. Unless that's what you were already going with.

If you don't mind the suggestion, I mean. I apologize if it's unwarranted.
