I don’t feel like combing through 61 pages to find out whether or not this has already been brought up, but there have been rumors for years that Lindsay had to share a casting couch with Doug to get on the site.

I’m surprised that nothing like that has come out of this. If not about Doug himself, then with either Rob or Michaud.

Not to defend Doug, but my big takeaway is that he’s probably got potential to be a fairly decent guy, but he’s probably too passive compared to the abrasive scumbags known as Rob Walker and Mike Michaud.

Interestingly, Lindsay wrote on the Google doc, but only spewed some neutral stuff before ree'ing about wymin harrassment in jobs and social media. The particular rumor you mentioned was never mentioned in the whole document.

I could be wrong, but I kind of feel like if Lindsay had a way to jump aboard the #metoo movement, or play a victim, she would be doing all she could to get attention, pity bucks, etc... Whereas she has been one of the more quiet... (aside from the document obviously.)

The whole rumor itself doesn't really make any sense to me. The logistics of the how the Nostalgia Chick contest was set-up, the relatively up-and-coming status of Channel Awesome, which had just been created that year (NC himself had only started a year prior), Doug being the most passive and socially awkward man on the face of the earth, the fact that if that was the case, ThatChickWiththeGoogles or Marzgurl likely would have been approached with a similar offer and also haven't said anything—just makes it seem incredibly unlikely that Doug had leverage, personality, or the wherewithal to Casting Couch anyone.

Can you honestly picture Doug trying to negotiate sex for favors with any modicum of success?

I suspect the rumors reg. Doug played a lot on the idea that he was this super confident creative genius which prevaled for a while.

But I suspect the producers are holding back on how they feel about each other so they look united. Would not be surprised if this rolls on and you start hearing stories about each other as they get bored of bitching at a brick wall.

I do hope that someone with more :autism: than myself is able to figure out who the Anonymous accusers are. Especially the one who tried to claim she had a mental state of 16.

It is important to note that claims, even claims against obviously terrible people like Michaud, are not always necessarily true.

I was about to say, if we're going on 'rumors' alone, it's been circling for years that Lindsay slept with almost all of the male producers at one point or another.

In the intro to the video, Quinton said he specifically made this video in a short time span because he wanted to respond to the leaked docs. Originally he was planning for the video on Channel Awesome to be the grand finale for his "Fallen Youtube Titans" series.

I'm curious about what Doug, Rob, and Mike are doing with all the money they make off of CA. We know what they're not doing with it (paying anyone, production values) and we know about the 3 million they blew on Demo Reel, but what about the rest?

How much do they have at this point anyway? They have the website revenue, the youtube money, all the money their contributors/slave labor produce, money from the indigogo scams, and probably other crap. Are they perhaps hoarding it away? That seems too smart for them.
