He couldn't make this work unless he was a figurehead in the community he competes in competitively, and even then he'd have to be a relevant enough name for "playing video games" to be considered something worth talking about.

Look at HungryBox from the Melee community. Dude get's a news spotlight highlighting his community and the work he does and now has ties to the new media. And he's one of the Top 3 players in his game, which is a popular enough esport that it consistently makes EVO, once of the most premiere events in the US.

Fuck, does Destiny even have a game he stands to have a platform on? And if he doesn't, then he's just sitting on generic stream-viewer money, which'll go fast once people are done with him a la DSP.

Shit man, you can brag about your business all you want, it has no fucking security if shit hits the fan.

What the fuck you think you're doing talkin' down to people with such an unstable platform to stand on, c'maaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

Combined with the desperation he seems to be trying to convince people that "he's totally cool and has a real big boy job" really just makes him seem like the biggest little loser on the internet.

Imagine thinking having your career tied to game, especially one as irrelevant as Smash, is a positive thing. You guys should get into streaming, you seem like you understand the market a lot! :)

Imagine also thinking my platform is unstable when I've been doing it for 8 years. That's like three times the average length of a software job in SF, lol.

idk what point you're even trying to make with that first sentence, but yeah I prefer autistic manchildren not knowing who I am.

Not really that upset at all, I prefer the friends I made in college, having a job that I genuinely enjoy with a decent paycheck while having room to grow and improve, the freedom to be able to move or live wherever I want because I didn't have an oops baby in my early twenties, and also not having my life be broadcasted on the internet.
