He didn't have Pollo very long--only a few years. I didn't know he was that old when he was adopted. This is rough on the back of losing Sorbet.

I know everyone is going to want to jump on the Chris is an animal abuser bandwagon, but it's really not as simple as that. Chris loves his cats. The problem is Chris is really dumb, but not in a malicious sort of way.

A little ironic that shortly before this I posted that the Chandlers shouldn't have animals because they simply are not financially in a place to handle emergencies. Like this. Considering this is cat number two that has had something happen to it, here is my take on what may have happened. These cats are indoor/outdoor. This is the time of the year people use pesticides, especially since we are already having issues with ticks in the area. Anyone who knows anything about cats knows they are incredibly sensitive to toxins because they'll get something on their bodies then ingest it when they bathe themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if they got into something that messed with them. Also, some people are incredibly hateful towards cats because they kill birds so they'll leave anti-freeze out as a shitty way to manage the local cats.

That's my theory anyways. Or it could just be a coincidence that Sorbet went missing and Pollo was just ending his long lived life.

Two cats within a few days. I know they like to play up how hungry they are for extra tugboat but maybe they're just really that short on food. Barb's looking thinner lately, perhaps she got desperate and whipped up some pet soup.

Nah, relax - both cats just 'went to live on a farm'...

It is possible out of desperation. I've said before there are wild dogs and cats everywhere around where I live, and the local immigrant slums are very much known to be eating them.
