Youtubers who are actually cool - because not everyone is a cow

How could I forget to mention Hickok45. The best part of his channel was shooting various guns, including older weaponry like a PPSh or an SKS.
He's like the internet's grandpa for people into guns. Although he's probably closer to my dad's age.

Voto Studios is the best MMA/Martial Arts channel on the platform. Dude plays up the cholo gimmick but actually has a lot of relevant shit to say and is always very funny in his delivery

InRangeTV and Forgotten Weapons are great, kind of like the Gen X versions of Hicock.

Videogamedunkey is funny and offers insightful reviews in a goofy manner

I think the British YouTuber Helloween4545 is pretty good, he mostly focuses on horror games but he does play other types of games as well but isn't over the top or stupid like some can be.

Here is some of his game playlists he has played through:

Deadly Premonition (PC/PS3) - This is a GREAT LP to watch and a good way to introduce yourself to this fine chap. Good game, despite its flaws.

System Shock 2 (PC) - Again, a fantastic game if you don't already have this game. This is his him revisiting the game after playing it after many years.

Bayonetta 2 (Switch) - Hack and slash, guns, gals, tits and general weirdness with deities and demons. Good fun.

NieR: Automata (PC) - Another first-rate game under H4545's belt.

SOMA (PC) - I also have this game and I can approve that this game lives up to its name.

F.E.A.R (PC) - Expect the unexpected in this one.

Silent Hill (Emulator) - A timeless classic.

Here are some Youtube channels I watch that are not posted

Techmoan: videos on old and obscure media formats with the history and engineering infomationhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5I2hjZYiW9gZPVkvzM8_Cw

Defunctland: A channel that discusses the history of various amusement parks and related subjects https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVo63lbKHjC04KqYhwSZ_Pg

Todd in the Shadows: His videos are good but I don't follow the Channel Awesome autism to get repulsed.

Kim Justice: Good Video game youtube that does a lot of documentary on English game companies. However, he when trans but I am not sure he trooned out

Classics of Game: Short videos on the dumbness of video games, kind of dead. https://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicsOfGame/videos

The only YouTube "personality" I can tolerate who isn't a troll of some sort is this slightly off-centered cat named Ralfy who does whisk(e)y reviews. He is like your jolly old uncle from across the pond who would let you sneak alcohol, but he's gotten a bit weird in recent times which I've chalked up to him just getting older and spending too much time on the internet. Here he is reviewing one of my favorite bourbons that I can afford:

If you aren't into whisk(e)y you won't know what he's talking about most of the time if you catch a video where he goes off on a rant about the liquor industry. He does review most of the "famous" scotches like Blue Label and whatnot, but people get mad at him about those reviews because they forget he doesn't get the stuff for free and price does influence his scores.

He did set up a paymetons for fans to "buy him a drink" when people started asking him to review the super outlandish liquors that cost thousands of £s a bottle and he gets as much as DSP (Ralfy gets 100 bucks more, to be a bit more honest) but has five times as many people donating. Which I find hilarious, because Ralfy also says just a dollar is fine. Unlike DSP, though, I think he means it.

PushingUpRoses does some good reviews of old DOS games. Especially point and click or text adventure games. Her foray into fmv games are pretty great too.

Sometimes does collabs with previously mentioned LGR (Lazy game reviews)

My two favourite sword nerds:
Scholagladiatora: British sword collector/trader and HEMA instructor.
Can make seemingly superobscure topics enjoyable.

The Metatron:
Italian dude talking mainly about history and martial arts. Primarily ancient rome and samurai-era Japan. Pretty skilled linguist fluent in Latin and Japanese (outside of English and Italian of course)

The Lion Whisperer. Guy lives in South Africa, and is a conservationist who works with various animals (lions, hyenas, leopards):

Coyote Peterson/Brave Wilderness. Pretty much a modern day Steve Irwin.

Someone else earlier in the thread mentioned Life of Boris, and he's another great channel that's highly entertaining:

On the video gaming side: JonTron, Jerma985, and videogamedunkey. Their videos always make me laugh, and they come across as guys who really enjoy what they do.

Sseth Tzeentach https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD6VugMZKRhSyzWEWA9W2fg
shitposting reviews of Rpg/jrpgs/hentai games and other random shit.

Sseth Tzeentach for his reviews of old crpg's. More or less got me into trying Might and Magic.

Came here mostly to make sure he was mentioned, basically the only Youtuber capable of making me actually laugh. His videos are like 50% ironic /pol/ and 50% trying to explain plotholes and exploits in universe.

Youtubers that are popular enough that I feel no need to explain why I like them: penguinz0, Steve1989MREInfo, Sam O'Nella Academy, Mister Metokur

Youtubers that I'm still subscribed to but I'm beginning to think they're shit: Crowbcat, videogamedunkey

Just gonna throw some names out, not sure if they've been mentioned

Philip DeFranco - don't know what the farms thinks of him, but I like him

Townsends - just interesting to me, I plan on making some of the recipes

Fightincowboy - he gave me some cool build ideas back when I was playing Dark Souls 2, been following him since

Tabletop Minions - helped me a lot with my painting skills

Joanna Lim - I like her voice, and she easy on the eyes.

I don't feel like slogging through the entire thread but if Jerma wasn't mentioned, he should be here. He's such a wholesome dude with Seth McFarlane's voice.

Forgotten Weapons is a fantastic channel for those who are into guns, history buffs and maybe those who want to know more about firearms.

JohnWolfe / HarshlyCritical, Joel from Vinesauce, Robin Seplut.

I like that John is not a screamer these days while playing horror games and Joel is this loveable idiot whose laugh cures cancer. Robin Seplut is a cat channel...Nuff said.
