LSD rarely makes you violent, bad lsd trips are you usually trying to your best to get away from everyone, I would guess something along the lines of PCP for those reactions.

I agree with not LSD, but doing PCP is not so common in my experience. I never even really met anyone who talked about it online. I think you'd be correct, as whippets last max 5 minutes with very minor lingering effects lasting to 15. Having such an adverse reaction on them alone would be pretty unthinkable as someone who has experimented with it.

Bath salts can be pretty much anything. Their composition is often just throwing whatever weird shit is not currently illegal into a packet. Also PCP may not cause otherwise normal people to turn into slavering violent psychotics, but if they already are that way, it disinhibits them. PCP is involved in a fair number of incidents of extreme and bizarre violence you usually don't hear about without drugs being somehow involved.

A gathering of mostly Internet-based people makes the kind of RCs you get from dodgy European websites seem pretty likely, though. It was probably a combo of drugs and a general social atmosphere of chaos and degeneracy contributing to acting out even more than usual for that environment.
