Well he certainly doesn't understand what he's citing, given that law generally, and specifically the EXACT section he cited has been gutted since the early 2000's.

Not surprised though, I figured the far right would eventually fall out of love with free speech absolutism once it stopped being an easy retort to "own the libs" with zero consequences and they figured out being an absolutist logically requires them to be okay at a policy level with some very disturbing content.

It's definitely not an ideology for everyone. After all you have to be okay with the far left calling for white genocide, the far right calling for heeb removal, and all manner of extremely degenerate fictional and non-fictional shit.

To be fair, it's a sacrifice people HAVE to be willing to make to get rid of the NPC infection that's destroying society.

I know people will call me a sperg for saying such an outrageous thing, but it's true. It won't be all bad though, it may allow things to equalize if such a thing happens.

I just want to say that if I had been allowed to speak freely and run my website, this wouldn’t have happened.
I have said from day 1 that there is absolutely nothing good that can come from random acts of terrorism, and I had my website taken off the internet for making a fat joke. Furthermore, I have not been able to process credit cards since 2014.
Meanwhile, Gab is designed to be a place specifically for extremists which runs out anyone who is even partially normal. Anyone who is normal gets spammed with gay porn and wignat terrorism material and there is no way to block it, apparently purposefully making the site unusable for any normal person. And they got to keep their website and can still process credit cards.
I’m not blaming the site’s owner for this. He made decisions he made for whatever reasons he made them, and I assume the site is now going to be forced offline, something which I do not think he wanted.
I am saying is that silencing people’s speech is always bad. People who promote terrorism and claimed Donald Trump was a Jewish plant were always bullied and mocked on the Daily Stormer. This is a powerful outlet and it could be 50 times more powerful if Jews were not engaged in an organized attempt to silence me.
People like Robert Bowers rely on social proof to support their deranged worldview, and I am very good at organizing people and convincing them to follow rational lines of reasoning. I am very good at mocking people who refuse to do that.
It was always 100% obvious to me that Gab was filled with feds, that probably most of the users promoting these insane ideas were the same Jews posting over and over again with different accounts – just a couple of real retards mixed in. Clearly, someone encouraged this guy in private messages to commit this act now.
Why else now? Right now, ten days before this ultra-important election?
Those messages will never be found.
Hopefully, the anti-Trump messages are found.
And hopefully, some people have learned a lesson here.
It is the absolute most obvious thing in the world that because the bombing didn’t work, they pulled the mass shooting card.
I don’t know how this is going to affect the elections. But I do know how it is going to affect something that is 1000 times more important: free speech on the internet. It is going to be bad.

We had a talk in chat about the reasons for Gab's failure (and it is failing, even if it does find new hosting), and I think the #1 reason is that Gab didn't find a way to get the people who post cat pictures or talk about their honeymoon or late-night benders or post baby photos..etc, in other words, they didn't find a way to catch the normies. Hell, their sales pitch/value proposition was basically destined to fail in that regard for the reasons dear leader detailed in the OP.

However, one more factor that needs to be considered is product differentiation. That is, what would drive a Twitter-using normie to start using Gab? Even if Gab had no pepe people, no Trump supporters, no pedophiles, no Neo-Nazis..etc, basically no undesireables, that still won't make a normie take the jump, at best, you will get someone making a few "hello world" or "how do I use this?" posts and leave. A new competing network has to offer something new and compelling to the consumer, even giants like Google don't fully understand that concept at all, having failed to make Google+ into a thing despite having massive penetration and name awareness.
