YouTube provides the hosting, the audience, the advertising, basically everything. [...] And he has a cheek to complain about YouTube taking a cut. Ridiculous.
I expect a man who was nearly 600lbs for most of his life that also loves hoarding endless amounts toys to be greedy.Considering that Boogie has a patreon, sponsorships and even merchandise, it's just plain greedy to bitch about ad revenue. Seriously, he doesn't need any more money for food.
Dude, Youtube has to stream terrabytes of data per second around the world, it's not an app store or an ebook store. Also, each video is stored multiple times, 1 copy for each quality preset. It's not ridiculous to complain that YouTube takes 45% of the ad revenue. Everything you said applies to Apple. They developed the iPhone, the operating system and the App store, yet they only take a 30% cut from purchases. Google itself takes a similar amount from their own Play Store, as does Valve on Steam. Amazon also offers up to a 70/30 split for books on their Kindle store.

Can you fathom how much storage space is needed when you store 240p, 360p, 480p and so on different versions of the same video?
Not to mention how much data is uploaded to YT every second, some of them multi-hour videos at very high resolution and 60fps that have to be converted to all the different quality presets. It boggles the mind.
Oh yes his Patreon

The last month before he hid it he was getting $3.29 per Patreon.
Did Boogie also have patreon bypass surgery as well?
Because it looks far more successful than the gastric bypass.

Lowest monthly views since December 2012.
Negative subscriber growth for the first time since at least January 2011, if not ever for the channel.
It's no wonder he bitches about his numbers all the time, they are cratering.
PewDiePie actually possesses some business sense and like many big Youtuber he has evolved from his early days.If doing this is your job, you need to actually invest in it, evolve with the times and try to make your product more presentable and professional.Boogie 1488 has not changed at all since he entered Youtube. He would rather throw all his money on food and toys instead of trying to understand how the landscape has changed and invest in some better equipment. It's the same story that happens to every failing youtuber, he's in denial about his channel failing because of his content getting worse, and now he's pulling the same attention seeking tactics in pandering to sexuality, drama, etc. just to get the numbers up again. It doesn't help though, tbh I don't know how the old school youtubers that are still around managed to pull it off, but I don't believe pewdiepie ever posted pictures of himself making out with someone to get views again.
Where the fuck did that big spike in views/subs come from in 2013?

Just another old man that found success at some point in his life and will fail because he thinks that he has nothing more to learn since whatever he did before worked for a while and should work forever.
It begs the question - who's it actually aimed at? I don't imagine the people who signed up for his gaming news are interested in his outside "adventures". At the same time, I don't know why anyone who doesn't know Boogie would even give a damn. His solution, get together with some other people, do random shit and film it.
That's the thing, Boogie basically complains that he's been doing the same stuff for years and now it's starting to do significantly worse. It doesn't seem as if he's learnt any theory or developed any skills in regards to video-making in that time. Despite his complaints, the quality/effort to view ratio must be one of the best on YouTube.I'm actually really getting sick of these videos of somebody just talking into the camera.
