I feel like people are hyping up the ‘merge didn’t happen realization’ too much. This isn’t going to end with Chris realizing his whole life is a useless lie. He’s just going to make up something like “oh it did happen, if you’re still alive you made it. You just gotta believe hard enough!” Or he’s going to say they got the date wrong. Considering there’s a difference in the number of months and shit in that one merging world, wouldn’t surprise me if he just says the calculations were off and then he pushes it back. Probably would add something like “because I was really waiting on the money I’d get in the merge. I need some donations until my bank from CWCville merges”

Does anyone actually know where Chris' theory for this came from? Did he get this from Neptunia? Did he get this from the Idea Guys? Or is this just a side-effect of Chris' deteriorating mental state?
I know he's been saying since the beginning that all fiction is real in someway due to an alternate dimension separate to ours, but how did he get the idea that they're gonna merge?

Well he's always believed in his cartoon universe, going at least as far back as the @Alec Benson Leary phone calls. Then the idea idiots got him to double down on it by convincing him they were fictional characters, and had a laser on the moon to destroy CWCville, and that he was married to imaginary magic erinaceomorpha. Then somehow he became a the goddess of commadore.
Then even after the were exposed Chris appreciates them "opening his mind" more fully and such to our sister dimension. The he somehow got intouch with some teenage troon stoners and they convinced him they, or one of them was magichan and the dimensions are merging.

I think I said earlier in the thread that trying to find some specific piece of media where Chris, or whoever is influencing him, got the dimensional merge concept from would be fruitless. The isekai anime and manga genre, in particular, has multiple instances of every individual concept (the implication of this being that multiple people have come up with similar concepts, independently from one another) that Chris' dimensional merge lore contains. The possibilities that exist are the following from most to least likely: whoever is influencing Chris is stealing concepts, whoever is influencing Chris is independently creating concepts, Chris is stealing concepts, or Chris is independently creating concepts. I think it's probably a combination of the first three.

Nahh, he'll believe it's happening and claim he can see his "oh so beloved soul mates". People will say they can't see anything and he'll think they're trolls fuckin with him. Forever in denial and incapable of releasing what is and isn't reality. Once debt collectors or whatever arrive stuff will kick off, maybe another assault?
