See, this is the kind of post you should be making. It's honest, unlike your "I was just trying to get people to go and help this person" bullshit you started off with. You posted about some rando teen because, you thought we'd act like 4chan and harass them.
We dox people as part of the documentation process, not to incite harassment. We're also a little more selective about it because a lot of people tend to fuck it up and jump the gun.
Now, don't get wrong, we're by no means a humanitarian site and I'm not trying to take an elitist or moral highground. That would make this site insufferable and no different from SA or some other echochamber site. The simplest way to look at it is we're just a bunch of autists who enjoy collectively watching a train wreck in real time, but we're not going to go out of our way to make the trains crash in the first place. A large part of what makes someone a cow is the fact they openly air their dirty laundry and we easily document it. Sometimes, after being called out cows will try and delete stuff and we'll have to do digging, but honestly, more often than not it's just sharing screenshots from Facebook and Twitter. Maybe the odd video link for more prolific cows. And then there's the type of cow who comes directly to us and makes the content for us, like yourself.
TLDR: We're here to watch the tire fire, not light the match.
*Edit* Missed the general flow of the conversation after responding to that. I should also add, this site isn't about self help or improvement either. You want to be less of a cow? Cool. I genuinely wish you the best of luck. It does actually sometimes happen, and honestly, I think a lot of posters are okay when it does. If nothing else, it's more interesting of an ending than "they continued to be autistic." But, we're not here to actively help you, nor do we want to actively read about it. This is very clearly not the community for you, so the best thing you can do is log out and find someplace matching what you're looking for instead of trying to fit in here.
