I watched this bad video a while ago and did a write up. I was gonna clean it up and post it somewhere but I've decided to just release it here as is.

Start

Alright, so context is that this channel usually does game history shit, pretty informative like the history of the Xbox red ring and all that. It's run by this guy called Derek, but sometimes he lets his girlfriend Grace do an episode which I tend to skip because she's really annoying. However, I'm a massive sperg for Dragon Quest music so I suffered through it.

So it starts off alright, the narrator is being really unfunny with that "doot doot" skeleton meme being referenced and she's autistically gushing about horns. The story of Dragon Quest music is that the composer for the songs is an old guy that uses MIDIs for the proper games then rereleases it on orchestra.

I've got a few points regarding how bad the video is and I'll sperg about it then clean it up later when I post the video proper. Maybe I'll even do a thread on the channel who knows?

-So the first point is that she makes a lot of unfunny jokes and screeches like the Nostalgia Critic, Derek is seen on twitter defending her being on the channel despite everyone hating her.

-Second point is her constantly harping on ochestra being "better" simply because it's louder, I've been listening to every version of these tracks for years and honestly there's very little difference. If she hates the music for the new game so much she can turn it down and put on the ochestra version on her iPod.

-Third point is she takes umbridge with the fact that the composer is part of a group which lets musicians keep the rights to the songs they make. This is a bad thing because that means that rereleases of the games sometimes use worse versions of the soundtrack and that makes her sad, even tho he has every right to keep his compositions from being raped by Squeenix.

-Fourth point, and this is a doozy, she stops the history lesson at the mid point of the video to dig up dirt on the guy (an 80 year old, may i add) not liking "LGBTeens" and then suggests he should be fired "for being icky" basically. Her honest fucking reason for saying this on such a platform is because "he's not Mozart or anything" even tho the whole video is showcasing how great he was at composing and how he sells out orchestras and is super influential to video game music ala Mozart. He also paid money to "cover up WWII war crimes" which he might have a strong opinion on considering the nukes. Japan is a different culture anyway, so I'm not sure why she brings this up other than "fire this person i dont like because they made a bad soundtrack"

-Fifth point, after saying all this she honest to god ends the video with a bunch of horn jokes. Jesus christ.

So yeah, bad video.

The Internet troll known as Gunkid a/k/a/ Hardin a/k/a Jamboree a/k/a Swetn a/k/a Lawrenceof Reason a/k/a Brule a/k/a ... you get the picture, got nicked by Oklahoma deputies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for multiple State and Federal violations.

For those Gentle Readers who are not familiar with the metaphorical whiff of methane and hydrogen sulfide that was the cyberspace presence of Gunkid, allow me to shed some light on why there are Internet Gun Board Staff People dancing in the streets right now:

Gunkid was an idiot.

In actuality, he was more than that: he was a compulsive liar, a thief, a convicted felon, a Walter Mitty wannabe and a dedicated pain-in-the-arse.

His dream was for the World To End As We Know It -- preferably in a nuclear holocaust -- so that he could float down the Mississippi river on a raft and sell his services as an assassin to the warlords that he was sure would pop-up like fungi.

He opined at great length about blowing up Federal buildings, office buildings, and any building belonging to anyone he didn't like.

When asked about the possibility of the Feds not much taking to people spouting off about blowing up their buildings, Gunkid would reply that if he got any whiff of a Fed, he was going to cause civil disorder by poisoning the local water supply and escaping in the panic. If that didn't work, of course he was not going to be taken alive, hail of bullets, dead agents in the street, napalm, explosions, terror, special CNN music, yack, yack, yack.

He was fond of a ten-inch barreled upper receiver chambered for .22LR on his AR-15 with a attached silencer, and claimed it was the be-all, end-all survival weapon and was good to 300 meters. He vociferously defended this combination to anyone who would ask, especially tyros to the world of guns.

He would always neglect to mention that a 10-inch barrel on a rifle without the proper -- extra -- paperwork violates several Federal and State laws. As does the attached silencer sans proper paperwork.

He was also an obnoxious believer in the famed Assault Wheelbarrow. When the Balloon Went Up, Gunkid advised anyone who would listen not to bother with backpacks or such-like. No, the only useful carrying mode would be a light-weight wheelbarrow.

He frequently claimed to be a top IPSC shooter, and his name has been found on an IPSC list or two, but never anywhere near the top.

His encyclopedic knowledge extended to the world of attack- and guard-dog training, and he was a vociferous fan of the de-barked Chihuahua for guard dog work.

Don't get me started on that one.

All of this -- and more -- does not garner Gunkid such an exalted place on the Internet List Of Those Who Should Go Play In Traffic. There are thousands of other people exactly like this on gun-boards right now.

No, what got GunKid his special place in our hearts was the fact that:

a) The schmuck could not take a bloody hint. Not even the gentle, "Don't do that [deleted] anymore" caused him to pause and reflect upon his behaviour.

b) The numpty was prolific. We can deal with bushwa, but when the bushwa is coming at the rate of 20 posts per minute for two hours, keeping up becomes a full-time job.

c) The bonehead was sodding incapable of having a reasoned discourse. By the Goddess, if you disagreed with him, then [deleted] you, you [deleted]-ing [deleted] son of a [deleted] and your [deleted]-ing dog, too, [deleted]! Now, see bullet 'b' above.

He apparently believed that what he was dishing out was handed down to him from the Temple Mount, that we should be grateful for receiving these crumbs of Truth, and that anyone who disagreed with The Truth was a Sinner, who should be verbally chastized before being cast out of his Presence.

d) The critter was the anthropomorphic version of cat whizz. To explain, if you've ever had a cat mark his territory inside your house, you know it's jolly well impossible to get the smell out. You bust your butt, and you think the nasty funk is finally gone, but something happens and 'BAM' -- your house stinks of cat whizz again. No matter what you do, no matter what you try, the stench always comes back.

He was exactly like that. He'd show up on a forum, stink up the place, he'd get banned and next thing you knew, he was reeking up the place again under a new name.

He got kicked off of TFL and THR hundreds -- if not thousands -- of times, and never, ever got the damned hint. I will guarantee that other firearms forums thumped him a similar number of times.

I'm seriously considering sending a case of micro-brew up to that department out of sheer gratitude.

I prefer the Reaper sound, it's quite better when you hear it in middle of action. Btw, I see a lot of people arguing over tripods and reapers... The reapers would blow the martians back to their stone age. Average reaper destroyer is around 160 metters high and a Sovereign class reaper is 2 kilometers, and remember that in ME1 it took whole Alliance fifth fleet to take down one reaper (Sovereign), and they almost got owned...

+TheSonic1685 Yeah, it won't do a whole lot to a Reaper. Not before it gets a shot off, anyway. Reapers are over 3 times as big as Tripods, and made from materials that can withstand impacts from mass drivers that have the force of a small nuke. And that's just the Destroyers. The big ones are far more powerful.

I personally knew this nigga back in highschool and was friends with him. He was very much the archetypal neckbeard atheist, which created great strife in his familial and educational relations, the former being very fundamental Christians and the later being a christian all boys.

Though I never watched any of his videos, I saw them in my sub feed and have had "Gunbuster Solo RP Minecraft" stuck in my head for years. I was extremely distraught today when I tried to finally find it, saw that his channel was completely wiped clean and rebranded as Rads. This new channel seems to not be nearly as autistic as the original, however the wafting of tism still lingers.

Once I slept at his house, there were clear holes in his walls from tism fits and he constantly fought with his family about evolution and creationism. Also his parents are divorced. He had like five xbox games and like four of them were Sonic, one of the things he was obsessed with. With Autistic children, as Southwood was very much on the part of spectrum that Asperger's used to reside, they are commonly obsessed or fixated with certain objects or media. Southwood's obsessions were mostly the usual Sonic, Anime and video games, but he was also fixated on the Twin Towers, to the point of one to one recreating them in Minecraft, of which he documented in now deleted youtube videos.

Although I don't know much about him now, I have seen him down at TAFE doing what I assume must be completing his year 12 SACE, most likely he failed high school because tism. I recognised him as he is an absolute unit and was loudly discussing Dragon Ball Broly, but he didn't recognize me as I have have completely changed since my obese highschool years to a 5'5 50 kilo cutslut.
