When a young kid says "I am a dog" or "I am a superhero" or "I am a dinosaur" or "I have an (imaginary) friend named Sam" or whatever else, we chalk that up to a youthful imagination, right? It is fun to play and we kind of let them have their fun and eventually they'll grow out of it, but we would never (or at least I hope not) encourage any kind of odd behavior in public. I mean if a child pretending to be a dog lifts his leg and pisses on me or starts sniffing a dog's butt, I'd like to think the parents would stop it.
But if they claim to be the opposite gender from what they were born with, parents are now morally obligated to get them the surgeries and everything else at a very young age and if they don't, they are harming the child? Um...okay.
it is accurate, they used peritoneal (abdominal cavity lining) tissue to give more length, plus it excretes some kind of fluid. It isn't like vaginal fluid and it isn't known if it smells bad or not because the procedure is so new & very few people have gotten a whiff of peritoneal fluid without blood being mixed in.
My gut feeling (haha, see what I did there?) is that having to suture together two types of tissue into one orifice is going to create more opportunity for constricting scar tissue, adhesions (out of control scar expansion), or separation of the two tissues at the site where they join. Inverting a dick is troublesome enough when it is one discrete type of tissue. No one knows what the fuck happens ten years from now with a piece of abdominal cavity lining sewn into an inverted penis. Really seems wrong for a doctor to do it without knowing ahead of time since it is essentially cosmetic. The other options were tissue expanders (baloons under the skin with saline injected into them to create extra skin to use for surgery, they do this for all kinds of surgeries so it is much saner IMO) or topical specialized testosterone to grow the dick temporarily before surgery.
The worst part of all this rearranging is that it guarantees he will never have a sex drive. There was some question about developing a sex drive if testosterone was introduced previous to surgery, but now there isn't a chance. It might even be dangerous to use testosterone post operatively since it isn't clear what parts of the remaining tissue would grow in response to any testosterone introduced into the system. it is a "vagina" for show only. It is unlikely that Jazz could even become a bitter house wife that fucks her husband out of duty, because guys who want that arrangement generally want to have kids. Chasers aren't going to be into him either anymore. Its going to be a really lonely life.
I honestly won't be surprised if he later admits to regretting transitioning. He probably could've just lived as a feminine man and be perfectly happy. Read through what his childhood was like, how rehearsed his speeches about wanting to be a girl were, how unnatural his way of speaking was (as a 4 year old child!), and it becomes pretty clear that his mum was pretty much manipulating him into wanting to transition at such a ridiculously young age. It really is sad.

Or maybe they don't even say so and their psycho parents just wanted a kid of the opposite sex. There's at least one account on reddit of a man raised as a girl by his crazy-ass mother who manipulated him into thinking that his penis would just fall off someday. Because it was the 80s or 90s and people weren't cucked by woke agenda, child services stepped in early enough that's he's not super psychologically damaged.
So here's a follow-up on an interview with a crazy trans-parent. It's like super-anonymous, except for the dozens of photos provided, and the fact the family live in the Bay Area, the 25 minute Youtube with her name on it, and then the public FB profile with Pride flags all over it.
A lot of these transing parents seem to be nationalistic, conservative, often super religious and absolutely 'heteronormative'. They cannot stand the fact that their child will likely grow up to be gay.

Jazz doesn't look particularly like a little boy, that's just a bias that you guys have because you know she's transgender. If you met Jazz on the street and didn't know she was transgender, there'd be no question in your mind if she was male or female.
Look at Jazz's transgender friend, Skylar, who transitioned at 11. Does she look like a eunuch to you? If a child is given cross-sex hormones early enough, they will develop physically like the opposite sex.
There is no proof that blockers and xhormones will result in a more 'feminine' looking boy. All these procedures are off label and the TRA lobby prevents any actual research on the subject. Look at what happened to Lisa Littman when she dared to point these things out, including the currently high numbers of children and youth who demand to 'transition'.
The reason I ask is because a lot of the symptoms for being a troon sound hell of a lot like the symptoms for depression. Maybe, just maybe, self harm isn't a treatment for depression or having the "wrong body".

Probably not a lot- peritoneal fluid is there to keep your abdominal cavity organs from chafing while they shift around from things like digestion, there isn't typically a lot in there at any given time... but again, this is an extremely new procedure so its an experiment. It isn't even a 10 year old procedure, it may turn out to start gushing like a faucet after a certain age/time frame. Peritoneal fluid is not very well studied, it can be used for dialysis instead of the bloodstream, and if there is too much of it you drain it out and order the only test specific to peritoneal fluid (this test hasn't changed in my lifetime, because there is no need for more information). Most of the test is just what color it is when it comes out of the patient, lol. That's usually all that medical professionals need to know about it, maybe this frankenstein bullshit will yield some interesting new information about peritoneal fluid.
Maybe the opposite of gushing will happen and it will totally dry out, and since your peritoneal tissue is supposed to be inside the abdominal cavity, I don't know what happens when it dries out. Doesn't seem good, most cavity linings that are meant to stay moist get painful or bleed when they are abnormally dry. They really should have sewn pieces of peritoneal tissue into rat skin or something before doing it on human beings, eh?
Dr. Ting used scrotal tissue for my vaginal canal. According to Dr. Ting, the peritoneal tissue technique is still quite experimental, and does not provide a whole lot of moisture. Currently it's being used in patients who don't have enough scrotal skin to create a vaginal canal.
I should note that I did not have peritoneal tissue used in my procedure as a small number of people who have gone to Ting have had. Ting seemed really excited about this when he first started doing it over six months ago, but he advised me against it the morning of surgery and said he's had some issues with the procedure overall. Take that for what it is worth.
I talked to my surgeon about it during my consultation and he said that it was an awful alternative to the normal method of surgery. He explained that the lining of tissue used for the vagina is easily torn and smells extremely bad. Hope this helps.
I have spoke to just about any surgeon who performs excellent sigmoid colon surgery - Dr. Preecha, Dr. Kaushik, Dr. Bouman, Dr. Kamol - and they all agree that it's a lower quality choice.
The simple reason is that the peritoneal lining is hardly trauma resistant - which is why all of them abandoned this option for the surgeries they offer and ONLY go with sigmoid colon SRS.
I have felt sorry for poor Jazz Jennings for so many reasons. For being groomed into this role. For having a crazy mother. For being pimped out for a media circus. For not getting a chance to experience puberty. For not getting a chance to use his genitals prior to having them operated on. For getting to experience depression and anxiety while being forced to perform for cameras. For having the entire world knowing about his penis size.
But most of all, I'm profoundly sad for Jazz because no one has prepared him for the idea of AFTER surgery. This kid's entire life has been devoted to transitioning. Lots of post-surgery troons have confessed to a huge depression after surgery, because "now what?" They spend so long anticipating how it will fix things. And it fixes literally nothing. Your problems are still there. Jazz has been all-trans, all-the-time for his entire life. Constantly talking about getting a "vagina". Doing trans health conferences, trans books, a trans tv show, trans friend groups. Is he just going to be a Professional Troon for the rest of time? Does he have any other plans or ambitions?
I've been watching this kid for years. And I have no idea about stuff like what he wants to be when he grows up, or his favourite subject in school, or what kinds of books he likes. That makes me sad.
